Now before anyone crucifies me for anything I say in this piece, I am going to have tell you that this is my opinion on this game. You can take it or leave it. Let's get this review started...
When I first got this game I was skeptical at best since Eidos was somewhat of a bad company during the mid 2000's by producing shoddy titles at best. One of these games was this one.
One the graphics are freaking horrible. I have seen better on a PSone than I have seen in this game. Sure it animated really fluidly but it's an eyesore when I can't really tell what I am seeing. "You mean that's Violent J? 'Cause it sure don't look like him."
Another thing that boggles me is the controls. Now if you are looking for a good, easy to learn control system chances are you would be looking at Smackdown vs Raw. To be honest you would not find it here cause the system is kinda broken. It took me 20 matches in order to find out on my own how to pin my opponent and to this day I can't really remember it.
Game play wise its bad bad bad. The producers make the Backyard Wrestling thing alive but at the price of making things too complicated. Sure there are weapons on the maps, people who would kick your behind if you bumped into them, and little oddities. As far as the amount of characters then you will be in luck. Matches are only hardcore. No submission system implemented here.
The character creation system isn't detailed. You can't do much here but make a dude that still looks like a generic model. Not to mention many of the opponents you face in game are generic Created Wrestlers.
