Arcana Hearts (good for 2d fans)
Arcana hearts is like lime and sugar. There are simple touches you'll like ,for example the guardians are a real nice touch but then some of them seem useless. The controls are not your regular fighter layouts so to people on our shores it might be a turnoff. The graphics are astounding for a 2d fighter. If your like me who appreciates videogames not only as a form of entertainment but a form of art you'll like the presentation. I have been playing videogames since i was 6 years old and now i'm 26 so i look deeper into games . I would recommend this for fans of any good 2d fighter. I'm a guy and i like the fact that females are represented strongly in a videogame. I happy to see that 2d fighters are still alive and kicking. If you have an open mind for fighters you will definitely appreciate this game.

Different from most Fighting games
This is a famous fighting game in Japan, while still not so famous in the US, reason for it lacking the fun factor. There isn't much to unlock in the video game, the controls are different from most fighting games, so it takes a little time and effort to master. What makes this game unique is the 'Guardian' that fights along side the Maiden that you pick. The downfall is that these unique Guardians that fight alongside you can only be used once, and blocking their super attacks is quite easy. Guardians are somewhat like the Capcom Vs. SNK grooves except your powers and power gauge builds are based on your guardian. In the end, this game is recommended for only those who are hardcore fighting game lovers. If you loved the different types of 'Groove' modes offered in Capcom Vs. SNK series, you will easily understand this video game and adapt to it like nothing.

Very Fun 2D Fighter.
Arcana Heart is a great 2d fighter. You get to play with 12 characters, all girls, that come with their own strengths and weakness. You get 10 different arcana's that you can place on your character. The fighting is smooth and adds for some great fun when you fight on the harder levels of the game. Adding in counters, special moves and arcana special attacks keeps this game going. Arcana heart is very fun for people that want to play one-player, but it's great getting friends to play with you. The controls are simple. Arcana has the standard weak, medium and strong buttons with 4 normal/energy attacks, 2 character special moves that leads to multiple combo counts and 3 arcana special moves like poison or energy drain. Also you can summon the full power of the arcana to unleash a very powerful attack against your combat partner. The music was alright, but the SF and animations of the characters is great. The story is short; it uses still pictures and no voice acting. I think it could have been better with some voice acting even in Japanese or some animations instead of stills. If you love 2D fighters or fighting games in general and love kicking butt as a girl this game is a must.

Been waiting for this
Played this game at an arcade and it was still playing as the japanese version. One thing for sure is that you can do lot more in this game, you pick a character and element to fight and makes lot of unique fighting styles and you can try summoning elemental beast and doing major damage. Trust me this is something you have to try. It's not so often you get to play these kind of games.

I can't wait
At first I say the that atlus was publishing it so I clicked to see what it was thinking "hey it's atlus must be an RPG" Well, I'm really happy it's not an RPG but the actual arcana heart game. Cheap price plus fixes to the major balance issues from previous games will have this thing in my PS2 for some time.

great fighting game makes its way to america
Arcana Heart is an awesome fighting game with nothing but girls that look like they came from an anime series and they use these crazy combo attacks to defeat their opponents. highly enjoyable but not that may fighters to fight with even though there is some gameplays that make this game a must have and the fighting is just wonderful.

Generica Heart
If you're looking for an uninspired 3 button masher with nothing but generic Anime stereotype girl designs, look no further than Arcana Heart. With extreme balance issues that render some characters useless in competitive play, the only redeeming factor of the game is the Arcana System, which is wholely unspectacular. Also, any male player better be really comfortable with their sexuality before going into this overly cutesy all girl game . . .

If they actually balance it...
It might be a decent game. That being said, the japanese version suffered from extreme balance issues. They were so severe that it kept the game from being enjoyable at all. If they tweaked the characters to even them out a little bit more, it might stand a chance of being a solid fighter.

Arcana (Fanboy or Fangirl) Heart
At first you might see the publisher and think a fighting game? But don't put it out of your mind, this game is actually really enjoyable. It has a small handful of characters with an array of cool moves. The fighting system is combo based, although slower then most combo heavy fighters, is still pretty balanced. Some characters seemingly resemble characters from your favorite anime, or even other games. Be sure to try it out!
