Ape Escape 3
Very fun to break into parts and play over again. Graphics were great for its time besides the monthly glich when your morphs dont work. Anyway great game. Funny twists everywhere I look in it. Nothing truely bad about it besides my little bro cheats on the city levels by using a super hoop and not a slingshot. Millions of monkeys and fun optional mini games. Many secret codes shockingly though. I also love how the sister dazes some monkeys and how the brother is more powerful and faster. Many fun areas to explore. Thus I cant wait till the 4th one comes out in november. I also reccomend skipping the 1st one due to the boring areas also try Ape Escape Pumped and Primed if you want to play a spin off of this for the whole family.
Ape Escape 3 is all you'd want in a crazy monkey game and then some.
Ape Escpae 3 is... well the third Ape Escape game. The concept is the same. Basically some hyper intelegent monkey known as Specter has gone loose and along with him hundred of monkeys and it's your job to catch them. The controls of Ape Escape 3 are quite different from your typical platform game. To make your character movie around, you use the left analog stick, and thats about the only part of the controls that are similar to any other. The rest is some what unorthadoxed, and I mean that in a good way. You asign your gadgets you get as your adventure progresses to the four main face buttons(triangle, Square O and X). Once you push one of those four buttons the item asigned to that button will be in your character's hands. To use that item, you use your right analog stick. And it will be in any manner of was, such as moving it around in circles, clicking it down or simply moving it in a certain direction. To equip items that arent currently equiped, just press one of the face buttons and it will allow you to cycle through the other gadgets by continuing to press that sam button. You can also just do it by bringing up a menu by pressing the start button, but cycling is easier. Speaking of the Start menu, you can also leave a level your vurrently on or quit the game from there. You can jump by pressing the R1 button then a double jump by pressing the R1 button again. I have to admit, using the R1 button to jump feels a bit strange. About every other game has you use the X or Circle button, but you get use to it very quicky, so you should worry about it. By pressing the L1 button you can re set the camera putting it behind your character. the camera can be a nusance, but for the most part, the L1 button does the job. The L2 button allows you to view your surroundings from the first person view. you can't wal around or anything KH2 style though, which would have been nice, button it doesn't really matter. Most games typically won't let you do that. Ape Escape 3 also introduces a new type of transformation thing, sorta similar to KH2's drive forms, although, alot easier to access. You can activate these transformation by pressing the R1 and R2 buttons simultaneously. From there, if your stansformation guage is full you'll go to a menu screen that will let you choose a transformation, depending on whats available to you. These transformations allow you to do certain special abilities and are more fit for combat. Some of the abilities include walking on ropes and bloacking certain attacks. You also have special attacks. Apart from normal ones where you simply move your left analog stick in one direction, you have special ones that are activated by moving the left analog stick around in circles. And to capture monkeys you click the left analog stick down. This time around, monkey catching isn't quite as straight forward. Some monkeys can put up quite a fight. Some can dodge your net quite a few times. Some can knowck you down and take the gadget you had equiped. If this happens you can get it back by hitting them back. After you've beat the main portion of the game there are other special means to capturing monkeys that I wont spoil, but they are pretty neat and funny. Ape escape 3's graphics don't try to be technically amazing or anything. Your not gonna see much real time lighting or realistic water or anything. but the game definatly has a style that it achieves. It's really charming, and the monkeys are, dare I say... Cute!! The human character also have a type of stylish anime look going for them. Toward the end of the game some there is a little bit of slow down, but it's rare that it happens, and when it does they aren't much of a bother and are pretty short lived problems. The music isn't stunning or anything, but there are some really good tunes here that you are gonna remember, and when you get the songs in your head, you'll actually like it. The voice acting is decent to, and fitting for this type of game. And the sound
ape escape has been a fun game for me but they made this one better! monkeys can take your gadgets the monkeys have temper so whenever you hit them a certain amount of times the will get mad and fight back! Just completely amazing get it.

The best of the Ape Escape series! I have all 3, but this is the best! I wish they would come up with a Ape Escape 4 with transformations and gadgets- all of them! I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
"The best game in a century"
Best game ever! I love the storyline and all levels too! If there was a choice for this game i wwould definatly reccomend this game! 5 Stars from me!
If you don't know whether you should get this game or not you should because it is frickin' awesome!
This is surprisingly fun. You would not expect the game to be near as good as it is. It is extremely different from any other game, besides the games in its own series. The concept of the game is to catch monkeys with a net and as weird as that sounds its actually pretty fun and challenging. I have found myself constantly playing this game until I beat it. I would recommend this game to almost anyone. Even though it looks stupid you should give it a try. It's very enjoyable for people of most all ages.
Perfect for any age. One of the main classics.
Haven't played this in a long time. Parts i do remember are awesome so it's very cool. All the morphs enhance the awesomeness. My favorite form is the one in the area right before the guy with the orange wig. The morph i think is called "Ace Gear". If not, correct me.
revisit levels with new gear to get more Monkeys
very appealing for 13 and under not complicated at all so grab your controllers and hit the monkeys and net to catch them
