Alone in the dark is fun, but it feels like they didn't work on it enough. There was not a lot of demons and zombies like I was hoping of. And the controls are Horrible! I don't recommend this game for people that love super scary games like silent hill or resident evil. Also, they did the same things over and over again! Like this monster on there that was an underground monster, they used that demon like three times over and over again! I got kind of mad about that! Also, the way you kill zombies is stupid! I thought it was at least! They could've made the game a little longer, and a little more scarier. I think they should do that. And the computer version was better is what someone said, and I agree with that! I mean who wants to play a game were the same things happen over and over again! I regret even getting that game!

this game is amazing to me because i love silent hill and resident evil because they were scary, but this wasnt and it should have been but i dont want to complain because i love this game so much. if you have a 360 get it on that instead for better graphics, but if you dont and you only have a PS2 then get it on that and if you love it like i did then you will want to have a PS3. i have a PS3 and i cant wait for it to come out for the PS3. the story line is so powerful because of how well its put together. there is a confusing beginning where your wondering whats going on but just wait and if you get stuck on a part just skip it with there frustration free play but to get the full depth of the gameplay and its merculiss story line just keep trying to beat it without skipping any of the levels

Rated 9 out of 10 by Horrorgame lover Horror game of the year?
Many people were looking forward to this game as the horror game of the year. Sadly, although it was a good game, that is not what happened. It's sort of like what happened to resident evil 4, it wasn't actually all too scary, but it sure as hell was a good game. This game has rich, luscious graphics, and unique use of items. Taking a knife and a lighter you can make some kind of.. cracked lighter... that leaks lighter fluid. Then if you have another lighter you light that lighter fluid and wha-la. That's how alone in the dark works. Every item is combinable in one way or another, though sometimes if you puncture certain items it just leaves you with a cracked item ha-ha. The shooting/action/combat mechanics is fairly simple yet grasps the attention of shooter fans and first timers alike. The enemies can be repetitive, but through out the game they get different and harder. The driving scenarios on the other hand are vomit worthy. The car controls as bad as the horse from shadow of colossus (you know what I'm talking about.) So this game is definitely worth the price, but sadly is not as scary as it could be. If you want scary get some of the old resident evil games, even if the controls are less than bearable. Also at times it will have the same problem that resident evil umbrella chronicles had (I know i refference re a lot but its always fitting) with there being like 100 tiny parisitic enemies you have to kill really quick because they all jump at you, but you have like 20 ammo and have to reload constantly. The supplies in the game are half way to impossible, so i'd suggest as you go along in the game, search around for any items possible, you'll need them. Over all it's a pretty good game and if you're into adventure/ kinda horror games then this game is not one to be missed
