PS2 Wireless Controller
A good controller by gamestop
This is a very good controller. it works really good and it gets the job done. It feels like the sony ps2 controller. The reason I bought this controller was because my mom and dad kept tripping over my wired ps2 controller. I decided i had enough of that and i bought this controller. It is a good buy all you need to get is some AA batteries, plug it in and your good to go!!! Be sure to read the instructions that come with the controller, because if it does not respond but the light is still working push the button on the controller receiver. This controller works real good, it's comfortable, and it responds well. I would recommend this controller to anybody in need of a Wireless controller for Ps2. A well made controller by Gamestop. Great job!
Thx god for 5 year warranty
Pros: It is wireless, 5 year warranty
Cons: short lifespan, heavy, thick, weak vibration, got to give up 4 bucks to fix
This thing seems like it only has a life span of 1 to 4 months, but it has a 5 year warranty so I guess you can't complain all that much. Yet still, you have to give 4 dollars up every time you want the darn thing fixed. Which is very irritating. A used sony controller has a longer life span than this thing and I'm not being sarcastic.
Besides that, its' response time is almost perfect. It is a bit thicker than the regular sony controller and a little bit heavier (including the batteries), yet you would think the vibration function would be better which it is not. Of course the best feature it has is that it is wireless.
When all is said and done it could have got a 10. I really am enjoying it, but the lifespan really hurts this controller while warranty is saving it from getting a 1. So I'll have to give it a 4 out of 10.
Dispite a few minor things this is worth the cash.
When I first started looking at getting a wireless controller for my PS2, some of the negative reviews almost had me thinking this would not work. However, I decided to take a chance on it and here's what I found ou;, this controller is not too shabby. Besides the plus of being wireless the range is pretty good. I've played from the other end of the room, which is a good distance between ten and twenty feet away. However, this is also as long as your batteries still got lots of juice. Also, I noticed that everything is just a little more close together, which I really like. I don't know what it is but I feel I got more button control. Speaking of buttons, you will have some fresh contoller button stickage from time to time but it's extremely minor. Getting the thing synced up is also a snap. Now for the negative stuff. First, the batteries WILL DRAIN FAST. I know this is usually a huge negatory for gamers who don't want to pay for a butt load of battries. However, this controller is worth it. I say you get a good three to four weeks on the batteries (give or take). Also, there is a small risk of having the connectivity being a little bothersome and making your controller do things it shouldn't. Good news on that is it is rare and only ususally happens when you need fresh batteries. So no sweat there. Overall, if your really looking for a wireless controller, GameStop has a pretty decent peice of hardware here. All you really need to do is give it a try.
I bought the gamestop brand wireless ps2 controler and over all its ok but one of the things that bothers me is the right analog stick gives me issues and when i play shooters it likes to either look up or down by its self without me touching the stick... so yeah over all its not bad but its not great either but not worth the price
It is a bit stiff when you get it but it works great. You need to get it. I love it. best for your money. I dropped it twice and it still works
Just getwired its worth it in the long run
In my most honest opinion DO NOT GET THIS CONTROLLER! It will be alot more valued if you just get a wired controller for a little extra cash, believe me its worth it. A few months back I bought a ps2 to relive some old game I used to love playing and inside when I opened the package inside I saw a wireless controller, at first I though awesome ut I was sooooooo wrong! The upside no wire. The downside the controller lags, it drains batteries and thats only more money you have to spend in the long run, and it doesn't get much distance, and it doesn't turn itself off so if you forget to turn it off then you just wasted batteries. so just get a wired controller!
its my best ps2 controler i use it all the time my friens love it
SUCKSUCKSUCK BAD WARNING DO NOT GET
I bought this controller so I could play my favorite game..... the controlling becomes SO bad, that I can't control my character half the time then he runs into random things and I have to reset it. It's quite the hassel. I love wireless controllers but.... this one was just a waste of money. You might as well buy a $2 controller if you're thinking about this one. I'm sure it would work better than this one. I still have it after all the times I've dropped it.. but that doesn't count for all the times it sent me into enemies, causing me to die. Or just randomly died on me for no reason while in the middle of a hardcore boss battle. I know this is long, and I'm sorry. But I am WARNING you. DO NOT... D-O N-O-T get this, you WILL regret it.
This Controller works perfect, i have had it for over a week now, and no problems what so ever. it is a better buy than the $10 wired controller.
Poor sensor, laggy controls, bad controller
I got this controller to upgrade from my old, out-dated wired one expecting it to work fine. I was wrong. For starters, setting it up was a little confusing at first, but I got used to it. The second I started my game I noticed that the buttons would not work sometimes (not because the sensor was blocked either), this was extremely annoying in multiplayer games. I think if you are an EXTREMELY casual gamer and NEVER play online then this would be the perfect controller for you. Otherwise, no.
