Not a mistake
This multi tap is great i own two both were from GameStop and both work great I have never had a problem with either of them. The only problem is that it only gets one memory card (both of my multi taps are for the PS2 Slim) which is on the other end of the box (opposite of cable) so if you tried to connect a second multi tap to your first then you can't get a memory card slot working on you second multi because the second i connected to the controller slot only and not the memory card. Unless you connect both directly to the PS2 then problem solved. Either way i recommend this to any multiplayers out there.

Doesn't work. gamestop no help.
i have now had it with the people from gamestop. i have bought 2 of there multi taps and neither of them worked, they both either turned the playstation off or didnt register the controllers. if you are thinking about buying one of these i highly recomend looking elsewhere for a sony made multi tap. i did call sony and that is what they recomended for me to do. to find a sony made multi tap look online dont even go to a gamestop because they are clueless when it comes to helping a loyal customer out. if you need help call sony because they will know what to do unlike the unknowledgable incompitant employees of gamestop. im running out of mean things to say and now im trying to make it long enough to post it. its almost long enough not it is.

Horrible
I bought the official Sony multi-tap before this one, and found out it didn't fit my PS2 Slim. So I went into my local Gamestop and asked about this Multi-tap, bought one, and when I went home to test it, all it did was make my PS2 make a loud noise and turn it off. It did not work at all, or even begin to start working. Turns out no one wants people that own PS2 Slims to be able to play 4 player games. I tried the multi-tap with many of my games, and it does fit, unlike the Sony version, but it turns my playstation off every time I plug it in. And now time to make my post seven hundred and fifty characters long.
