Rated 8.0 out of 10 by Game Informer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very immersive Great story to this game. Shooting and free running feels very natural with the Vita. The controls were utilized very well for this game and the puzzle solving sequences of this game very challenging and fun. This was the first uncharted ive played and now I will definitely be buying the new PS4 version . If you're on the fence, just GET THIS GAME. This is the most fun I've had on a handheld gaming device

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite suprised Now this was the only Uncharted game I've ever played, but I have to say, I'm quite impressed. I love the voice acting in this game, fantastic and funny. The graphics are good, but not great. I'd expect more than just skybox backgrounds on the PS Vita when overlooking cliffs and whatnot. The sounds could be better, I know the new developer let some people disappointed but the sounds are DECENT. The gun shots are fine, but the voices are fantastic. The story was pretty intriguing too, I liked it, not going to spoil it. So far, this is a pretty good game for the Vita, and for $15, get it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Take you Uncharted adventures on the go Another addition to the Uncharted series. Gameplay runs pretty good with the only downfall is the shooting mechanics (It's really hard to aim especially on harder difficulties). Graphics and Sound are what you except on the Vita. The replay value is about two play through before you'd want to trade this in to Gamestop. Verdict: A Must Play!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An absolutely stunning game As a huge fan of Assassin's Creed and the Uncharted series, I was pretty excited to pick this game up for my vita. I was not disappointed. This game has all the elements I enjoy from the other Uncharted games, and even brings in some new things that really add to the gameplay. (That's my opinion, some people think that the rubbings actually halt the game.) Let me just jump right into my review. Gameplay- For a PS Vita game, this is a really good game. It has a story that keeps you playing, and the different difficulty levels for some reason make me want to replay the game to see if I can beat it on the higher ones. Nathan Drake is his usual brilliant self, and climbs/discovers/and balances his way to uncovering secrets and taking down bad people. This time around however, I was less than impressed with the climbing mechanics. You're able to swipe a path for Nathan to take...which really devalues gameplay a little bit. Other people might like this, but for me it made the game feel a bit samey. I mean you can use the controls to move him, but it's so much easier to swipe the path. And another issue I had was the balancing acts you have to do, and its over almost every single bridge and tree he has to cross, this was a huge frustration, but it didn't happen that often so I won't mark it down much. Otherwise, the gameplay is great, I experienced no slowdown, and the game took me around 14 hours to beat. Sound- I really, really recommend headphones for this one. The Vita is a handheld, and won't have the best output, so using some kind of headset would really help you out. The soundtrack was pretty good, and actually felt like it was adding to the game. Intense music was where it needed to be. Graphics- For a handheld game system, the Vita can sure handle some pretty sweet looking games. Golden Abyss is a very stunning game, especially when you're climbing a high mountain or ruin, and you look at the landscape. The attention to detail is amazing, they really pulled it off on this one. Some of the characters are a bit weird looking when the game shows them close up, but it's a handheld game, and for that it does it's best. 10/10 for graphics. Some people I know complained that the game was dark at places, and that the need for bright light to reveal certain clues was annoying, but honestly that kind of stuff happened once or twice, and shouldn't deter you from this game. Conclusion- Overall I think Uncharted Golden Abyss is a must have for Vita owners. The game really showcases what the vita can do, and the game performs extremely well. Add a good story, and you're set for a nice weekend of playing Vita. But I think it's replay-ability is limited to maybe one replay, then some more over a period of time, but once you see the story it's really just a "Play on hard mode and see how fast you can finish the game" type of thing. I highly recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I have played the uncharted series, but this one was the best. The touch screen controls make a whole new gameplay experience. If you want an adventure or just want to try the series this is the way to start.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nathan Drake crammed into a handheld Uncharted: Golden Abyss sets the bar for production values in a handheld. Uncharted: Golden Abyss arrives on the PS Vita as a console worthy adventure, but not without a few faults. The visuals on Uncharted :Golden Abyss are stunning. The 5' OLED screen really makes the colors vibrant and pop. However as impressive as the visuals are I wish there would have been a little bit of diversity. The game takes place in two places: The Jungle and at the base of the main antagonist. Even though the Jungles are vibrant with colors, everything else seems drab in comparison. The Story is witty and well written, however the characters are never developed enough for me to care about their situations. Everybody's voice acting is top-notch and the music accompanies the adventure in a fitting manner. The gameplay is the same as always(not that that's a complaint) and Sony Bend has added some touch screen controls that are for the most part welcome. Some of the touch screen controls are intrusive and really took me out of the experience. For example: countering with a swipe and bringing the PS Vita's camera to a bright light source. Uncharted:Golden Abyss's biggest flaw is that it doesn't have multi-player. The campaign is roughly 10-12 hours an after your done collecting all the treasures there really is nothing left to do. Even with it's faults Uncharted:Golden Abyss remains a must-own game for PS Vita users.
