Ok this is my first Katamari game, and it's fun and all, but some of the music is annoying, like when the king is speaking it's dj scratching, which is super annoying, and the game is so weird. But whatever, for some reason I crave pocky and bubble tea when I play this game. Huh. This game can get frustrating, but with a couple of trys and some hard knocks from the king you'll get it, if you try. I don't like the controls for this game on the vita, but you can do classic controls, and I suppose they are just like the ps3 controls. Anyway good luck, and don't hate on it too much, it's still entertaining.

I was able to get my hands on this game early (2/15) at my local Gamestop after a little convincing. After playing it for several days, I can honestly recommend this as the game you should get for your Vita if you're only able to get one game at launch. While there has been a previous attempt to capture Katamari's gameplay on a handheld system, it never really worked because of the lack of a second analog stick. On the Vita it actually works, and it's amazing. The Vita's second analog stick makes this control almost exactly like the console versions. There are touchscreen controls as well, but IMO, you're better off not using them and just sticking to the dual analog sticks and the rear touchpad. While I'm on the subject of the touchpad, I have to say that actually doesn't feel gimmicky at all (especially when compared to the other launch titles), the ability to deform the Katamari is well integrated into the gameplay and adds to the experience quite a bit. The game also looks (and sounds) exactly like the console editions. I did notice a little bit of slowdown when things got hectic, but for a launch title the performance is rock solid. Ultimately, the only bad thing I can say about this version of Katamari is that it's not a particularly long game. Thankfully, the replay value is huge as it takes a lot of practice to ace each stage, and the game also adds incentive for playing on a daily/weekly basis.
