Deception IV Blood Ties
Revival of a Classic Sleeper Series
This flew in completely under the radar, but I am very hopeful. The very first Deception made up for in sheer fun and creativity what it lacked in technical achievement. It was ugly, but it was morbid fun. The follow ups have improved on the technical side while still offering the original's grisly celebration of schadenfreude. Let's hope this one is a diamond in the rough of Vita's limited game library.
It's pretty dang good
The game is challenging, but at the same time engaging. Each enemy has a back story and when they die, they say a line that relates to their story. It adds a nice touch. It never seems to get old to juggle a bunch of helpless humans around.
Should be fantastc on the Vita
Tecmo's Deception series is one of those "word of mouth" gems , the concept is reverse of most dungeon crawlers , instead f being part of a party of Adventurers out to kill a big bad ,YOU are a Big Bad out to kill them. But in Deception you traditionally play a damsel in distress forced into a pact to lure those who are out to do her harm to a early grave . New traps are gained as you progress , and point awarded for getting combos with traps by chaining the damage done with each trap. There are very few games like it , except Orcs Must Die on the PC.
