AWSOMELY AWESOME!!!
I got this EP last month. I like it a lot. It worries me to explore rooms with sarcophaguses because the mummies freak me out. Other than the mummies, this game rocks!!!

I loved this game!
I played this game for a long time. I loved the
music, the challenge. Though I never gotten inside
the biggest Tomb in Egypt- the one that required 2
specifc things in order to get in. I tried to play it with a
grown up and their teenage kid, but I couldn't figure out
how to get them to go together.. but I really enjoyed playing this game.
I highly reccommend this to those who are big fans
of The Sims!

Barely Works!! UGH!!
I just got this game for Christmas yesterday. I installed it immediately and started playing. In the regular Sim Town, the graphics and everything was fine, but in any of the three vacation areas, it was very laggy, considering I had three in the family. Later, I saved and quit, and came back later that day. I tried opening World Adventures from the shortcut on my desktop. There was an error message that came up; "Unable to start. Please reinstall the Sims3 base game." so I did that. I tried opening the regular Sims3. There was an error message and I don't remember the exact words, but it was telling me I needed to update the game to continue, and it wouldn't let me play otherwise. I had updated the game earlier that day, though, and it said there were no available updates. Now I wasted $40 on an EP that doesn't even work!! I don't recommend this game to anyone!

Great expansion
This is an amazing expansion pack! You can improve your visa level by completing quests and adventures. As your visa level improves, you can stay in that specific place for longer periods of time. With this expansion pack, your sims and their families may visit, China, France, or Egypt. When your sim hits visa level 3 in a certain place you can buy a vacation home. This is a must get expansion pack.

why does everybody think this game is so bad?
sims 3 gets great score, this gets worse than 5? this game is amazing!! three different cities your sims can travel to, and then there are dozens of missions you can do in those cities, plus REALLY COOL AND AMAZING items. heck, if you have the room, there's even a pyramid!!! so cool. if you have sims 3, GET THIS.

It's ok
I wasn't impressed nor dissapointed. I mean it has its up and downs. It really depends on how high your level of expectations are, I mean if you really love the sims franchise and everything you will probably be fine but if you are a new sim lover start with something more common like The sims 2 or 3. The sims 3 is really great, its the best video-game i have ever played in my life!!

I was bored too quickly.
This game was very frustrating for me at first because of the installation. Which I am sure I am not the only one who had to go through the treachery. This expansion pack has been uninstall, and I am sad to say that It did not live to my expectation. We are introduced to three new country, the adventures are all practically the same either you go and talk to other sims, or you go explore and find objects. The boring thing about this expansion is that I felt as though I was a burden. EA was just trying to add a whole new game experience..but it felt as though I was playing something on a console. they are right to include in the title as "adventures" because you are pretty much going on adventures .. but like I said, the game got boring too quickly for me. I lost interest doing the same thing everytime. I would not recommend this game to anyone.

Amazing game, but very flawed
I'm a huge Sims fan and think this game was a great installment to the series. I would like to note that there are many problems with running the game. For one, the game crashes much more often than the original, so I'm always having to save. The problem there is, now I'm getting "saving errors." When saving I'll get error messages that prevent me from saving. The only solution is to restart the game. The actual gameplay itself is very good despite the running flaws. The new areas are amazing and really interesting to explore. My favorite is Egypt, I'm looking forward to seeing my first mummy. Martial Arts is also a cool skill to have, I'm planning on making many Sims with that skill. If you don't care about the errors and crashes, or are sure they won't happen, Then I HIGHLY recommend this game to any Sim lover.

What good is the game if not working
All of Sims 3 games are full of bugs. I have a top of the line computer my game excedes all of there requirements. To this day Sim 3 does not work correctly. They fix one thing and 3 other things go wrong with the game. Go to there forum first and read there support page. This game most likely will be riddled with problems too. Just tonight i have spend 6 hours trying to get thing that i had sent to the exchange downloaded back to my computer after having to renstall the game 4 times to get it to stop from crashing. (what really makes you mad you were playing solidly for 30min with no crash and you think woo! go to save crash no error message). Yes my computer is latest patch). this is without any mods or anything running( basic game). There tech support is less then helpful they dont even know what the problem is. the problem is something wrong with the software. This one game ive spent more time fixing then any other game that i have owned and I have 40+ pc games, ive been gameing since ultima online. It does not make any sense that players have to spend 12 or more hours a day trying to fix a developers game. This franchise has lost me as a customer. I caution you go to there forum and read. This developer is inconsistent more concerned about profit and not about putting out a product that works.

Odd choice for a first expansion
The first expansion for the Sims 3 is a bit of a mixed bag for me. While I love the ability to be able to travel to some neat destinations, as well as the things I can do there (explore places, get unique abilities/items, etc.), I can't help but feel as though such an expansion shouldn't have possibly come later. Honestly, the main game is slightly lacking in terms of overall content, lets be realistic (though to be expected since it hasn't been out that long and to be fair it did take Sims 1 and Sims 2 a while before they became quite meaty), so it just feels like perhaps something else that expands the town would have been more appropriate for a first expansion. At this point in the game's life, being able to go on vacation and travel just doesn't seem that vital to me. As far as actual gameplay of World Adventures goes, my only real gripe is that the game is incredibly sluggish in the vacation areas. I found that, even with a pretty high end system, I still was forced to turn graphics down to pretty much the lowest settings possible (even though in the Sims' town, I have every setting near max w/ very little hit to performance). It wasn't so bad if I only focused on one Sim, but having three Sims on the same vacation made it a huge pain to switch back and forth between each. Eventually it got to the point that I just had two of my sims stay at base camp all day while my third went and explored a catacomb to avoid having to go anywhere else on the map. Other than this problem, there is quite a lot of extra stuff that the expansion adds, and it is enjoyable, but it just doesn't expand my Sims' everyday lives enough to make it a great experience at this point.
