Product Details:

Hidden within our own modern-day world is a secret world. A world where every myth, legend, and conspiracy theory is true. And now, dark forces are on the move and secrets that should have remained forever buried have finally been uncovered. The world is about to discover that the terrors that have plagued our nightmares are all very real. Dark days are coming. Everything is true. Everything. United in the fight against the rising darkness stand three secret societies: the Dragon, the Templars, and the Illuminati. But these powerful organisations also remain divided in their pursuit of global power. Their secret war for the power to control the world is fought on the battlefield and in the boardrooms, and through quiet whispers into the ears of kings and presidents they influence the fate of entire nations. Recruited to become agents for these secret societies, civilians - the players - are granted access to the true power embedded in their DNA. Finally capable of tapping into their full potential, these agents can now master any weapon, learn any power, and take on any role they want in the secret war and the battle against the rising darkness. You have been chosen.

  • Conspiracies, Myths and Legends - Everything is true in this modern world: A real-world, modern-day MMO reaching into legends and myths that unravels as the player progresses. Exploring real locations across the globe from London to New England, New York to Egypt, and from Seoul to Transylvania.
  • No Classes, no levels - Be who you want to be, and play how you want to play: Hundreds of abilities and powers available as you evolve your character without traditional level or class restraints. Use the power wheel to become the hero you want to be.
  • Join a Secret Society and fight in the Secret War with thousands of other players: As a member of the Illuminati, the Dragon or the Templars - Fight together against the rising tide of darkness or battle against other players in massive PvP warzones for world domination.
  • Epic storyline and missions unlike anything seen before in an MMO: Unravel mysteries and conspiracies in one of the most engrossing stories ever told in an MMO, told through groundbreaking mission gameplay. From the creative mind of Ragnar Tornquist - creator of the award-winning The Longest Journey.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wow...just wow Wife and I picked this up on sale for 10 bucks each it's an amazing game. I have no idea how we missed this game for so long. The he game is great in about every way. If you get the chance and like mmo or even survival horror style games with a great story go for this title.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best MMO i have ever played. This game is just so different from the others mmo, this game is kinda hard in the quests but that makes it more fun. The graphics is amazing, gameplay, sound is all amazing.I heard that many people complain about the population in the game, but that was long time ago. Theres alot more players now playing it. But one thing that was so cool to me, was that i was able to use my bible and real life items to find clues and anwers to some of the quest to complete it or uou could just google it. But still fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can not stop playing I bought this game 3 days ago, and it is already one of the best video game purchases I have made in as long as I can remember. This game has literally everything I have wanted out of a game. It is fairly realistic, it incorporates real ideas into the game, requires a great deal of strategy and thinking, AND to top all of that off, it's online and now SUBSCRIPTION FREE. If none of that is enough to convince someone to play this game, the online community here is one of the absolute best that I have ever seen. I asked a question in general chat, and people gave me an actual answer and tried to help me out with what I was doing. Most games I've played, if I had asked a beginner question people would've replied with 'lol noob look it up' or 'figure it out scrub'. This community is so different, and it is great. Whenever I get stuck in a quest or mission, I'm not worried about looking it up online because people ACTUALLY bother to not spoil anything for us!! Instead of just handing me the answer, they take the time to try to guide me in the right direction without giving it away. I can not put this game down, it is all I play now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best MMO game ever This is the best MMO game I have played so far. The Secret World is a game that brings new interest into otherwise generic MMOs

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent game I have little time to play MMO games, but I picked this one up as it had Ragnar Tornquist as the main storyteller. Being a long time "TLJ" fan, I decided to try it out...and I'm still playing. Anyways, I play max 10 hours a week, and therefore I am not even 20% finished with the ability wheel. I love the modern horror theme of the game, based on H.P. Lovecraft among others. Game reuires you to think, and it is not as easy as many other MMO's, holding your hand as you go. There are "investigation" missions that requires you to maybe look up a clue on the ingame browser, or requires you to learn morse code for example. Story and voice acting is done remarkably well, but I never dobuted this, seeing Tornquist is the director of the game. Graphics and sound is the best there is in a MMO. Well worth your money, even if you play it for only a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite game ever! This game is incredible and awesome. Even if it has some weaknesses , we must admit that this game is a truly innovation in the MMO genre. Just give it a try and you will understand this is something you’ve never experienced before. For the first time in a MMO you will be focused on what you’re doing instead of be focused on the reward you will get for doing a boring quest. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique Experience, hidden amongst mmo trappings I've played many mmo's over the years and this is one of the few that feels to be trying something original. Too many times have games been trying to ride the coat tails of another's success. If you are a fan of Modern Horror and enjoy a challenging game, here is your new home. The writing is superb and the sound quality amazing. The game is rough on your computer and takes a higher end rig to run beautifully, but once there... amazing. The gameplay needs some polish, but that is the pain of every mmo. Give it a shot, it's not the horrid thing people say it is. It's not WoW or anything else. It is The Secret World and it definitely comes into the MMO market from it's own place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst mmo This game is worthless, there really is no one playing. Character creation is pretty bad. So pretty much all chaacters look the same. The faction thing which was supposed to make it great, does not seem to matter at all. Its a constant grind mmo with no lasting appeal to keep people playing.
