Good game, too short
The story line is interesting and complex, although you shouldnt give it too much thought as it is somewhat weak. The ending was interesting and engaging. You are offered some options throughout the game but the outcomes are not as exciting as they could have been. The WASD with mouselook control was effective and accurate when fighting. I have an issue with the fact that I cannot create my own savegame, that they are all savepoints in the game. If I missed an area after going into the next area, I could not go back to look for items or supplies which left me wondering if I had screwed myself on a critical upgrade. The weapons were fun, but average. The new twist is your time weapon on your hand. It was used as a vehicle for the plot line and did some pretty cool things. Overall I like the game quite a bit but it was too short. It also gave you no reason whatsoever to play the game over again. No perks, no starting a new game with previous upgrades, no unlocks, etc. To me that makes a game worth buying. If I were you I would wait till this game comes down $20.
As a PC gamer, I can't look farther than the Developer's name: Activision. Now known in the PC gaming community to be one of the worst developers for the PC platform simply because they're greedy, and emphasize quantity over quality. After Modern Warfare 2 (which was the last straw), I can't look at any Activision backed games without a slight shiver running down my spine. This game may be good, but I'll hold off buying it until I get some real feedback after its release. I urge everyone else to do the same.
Radiation/Mutation games: Beating a dead horse with a stick
With all the games dealing with either a radioactive apocalypse, or just radiation mutants in general, it just kind of begs the question as to whether game creators are very creative at all. Sure the story arcs may be different, but I personally would rather fight something different than some poor saps who have been mutated.
first of all modern warfare 2 is pretty awsome, I would even say that it is one of the best online fps i have ever played. it is a lot better then that crappy bad company 2 game by ea. I mean at least you actually get to play modern warfare online. bad company disconects from ea every five seconds.
Activision is not a developer...
Activision is only a publisher.. they don't actually develop games. MW2 was made by Infinity Ward, this game is made by Raven (Soldier of Fortune / SoF2, Quake 4, X-Men origins: Wolverine). Don't judge a game by it's publisher..
Activision is a Developer!
Activision is both a software developer and publisher. They have Developed and Published CoD:Black Ops, CoD:World at War..Just to name a few. This game looks pretty good and I plan on getting it.
fact of the matter is mw2 i love it but it is to hacked it took the fun out and i hated it i agree mw2 is fun but with all the hacking and such i gave up this one looks good though
I agree with FXFire
I have to second FXFire's opinion. The game looks awesome, but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole if Activision is behind it. MW2 was the breaking point for me too.
okay i`m a fan of FPS and science fiction so i`m telling activision thanks for this cool game. thank you for it and the game also.
In my experience, the UNREAL 3 engine is not optimized for PC. Might be nice on consoles. Too bad I am a PC gamer...
