Shift 2 Unleashed
Comparable to Shift 1
Not a huge improvement over NFS Shift, but rather a continuation. Which certainly isn't a bad thing, as the first game was quite good. Graphics look great on my i7 920 + GTX 260, with no slowdown. For those having issues with controls, I highly recommend you get a wheel or plug in a 360 controller. The arrow keys are simply not how racing games are played, sorry guys. Once you get it down, controls are realistic and difficult, but realism is the token here. Not a NFS for the feint of heart, I feel like they are aiming toward the much smaller fanbase of realistic racing and are cutting off a majority of the NFS fans. Sounds are exceptionally enjoyable and realistic, the game is best played on a large monitor with the volume on maximum. There really isn't much about this game that makes it stand out from the many realistic racing games Shift 1 and 2 are trying to clone, but it certainly isn't a bad game. Just a bit shallow. As for the cutscenes everyone seems to be complaining about.... they can be skipped you know.
This game is called Shift 2; but it is worse than shift 1. I guess we should call it Shift 0 to be more precise. There is no improvement over shift 1 but has worse control and worse graphics, same type of career track and bad default setting (this can be fixed after you install the game). Our only hope is there is an update from EA to fix the control while the graphics is done for.
It takes over 35 minutes to install on Windows 7. It is inernet only. Why sell it in a store? When it loads the only option is to watch a 20 minute video. You have no control what so ever to set up your controls without watching feature length videos. Where is the Game? After 20 minutes I realized it isn't worth 50 cents let alone $49.99
This is gonna ROCK!
This looks good for PC and it has a fair price for this!
