Riven: The Sequel to MYST
Took what Myst had and improved it.
It's a very immersive game, based on a world you have to explore every inch of. Take notes. Lots of them. Including what sounds you hear at times. Get reacquainted with Atrus and Catherine - learn more about their backstories and help to save not just one life, but hundreds. Solving puzzles is only one part of this experience, taking in the beautiful vistas and scenery - the background music. It makes the entire experience truly immersive. There is only one glitch in the entire system. In many Windows systems you can't save your game. There is no "save" button. To get this, you have to go to the game icon on your desktop or in the file screen, right click, go to "properties" and change how it runs in compatibility mode. Finding the correct mode can take up to twenty minutes of aggravation. However it's completely worth it. You get hours of continuous game play on a run through AFTER you solve it. A total buy.
