Rated 5 out of 5 by from PENUMBRA COLLECTION Review This is, in my opinion, the greatest video game achievement of all time. This will remain my favorite video game for a long period of time. The story is absolutely amazing and understandable (for me.) The graphics for the entire series, runned by the HPL Engine, looked much like 2012 graphics other than a 2007. The character archetypes are extremely well done that you can actually get an understanding of a character. The sound is crisp and clear. The gameplay is amazing and is completely non-stop. now, unrelated to the game, even though I love films it would be a lot more reasonable for this subject of a game to be a book (prequel.) There are however, things that I dislike is how they say the PENUMBRA trilogy is survival-horror. only 1 out of the 3 games (PENUMBRA BLACK PLAGUE) is actually scary and in PENUMBRA OVERTURE the only enemies are feral mutated dogs and mutated spiders and that, to me, is very disappointing. Overall this will be my favorite video game series for a loooong time. LONG LIVE PENUMBRA!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is the best game ever. This is the best game ever. And I'm not just saying that. Im not just a casual player, im a real hardcore gamer and this is THE best game in the whole world. The story is just.......... undescribable... It is THE best story I have ever seen, read, or played. Ever. They could make a movie about it and id watch it 9812739182739187 times. The gameplay. Its as if you are there, with so much fear. If you want to get scared and frghtened, buy this, If you want a good game, buy this. If you.... just buy it! Frictional Games is now the father of survival horror games, they brought the survival horror genre back in action, unlike the ones who killed it, such as RE, dead space, etc. This is not a mindless shooting game, it makes you think, it makes you scared, it maked you think about life itself. Overall.... Buy it, buy it, buy it. It is and remains the best game ever made in the history of mankind

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing PC game! When I first bought this game, I had my doubts. Overall it was fantastic. The games all had me jumping from fear and gripping the edge of my seat. The controls are very interactive, for example- if you are trying to turn a valve wheel, you have to make the mouse move in circles to the right. Don't let the graphics disappoint you, they are good, but there's better out there. Besides the graphics, the sounds are very frightening and create a horrorific atmosphere. The storyline is great, almost like a mystery. The game really gets inside your head sometimes, and you have to solve the strangest riddles. Everything is not what it seems in this game. Just as you think you've figured something out, the plot twists and turns at you. If you like survival horror games and really want to get scared, you've got to try Penumbra!
