Need for Speed: Rivals
The first thing I have to say about this game is that it's a direct console port. They didn't seem to spend any time optimizing it for PC, so if you have a next gen console, definitely get it there. You don't gain much of anything on PC, no matter how good your rig is (which is why I didn't give a higher graphics score). The game itself is pretty fun. There isn't a whole lot of online interaction between players, since only 6 real people can be on a map at a time, and the map is pretty huge. It seems to disconnect fairly often, which can be jarring at times. This makes it a primarily single player game, unless you intentionally meet up with people. Playing as a cop is less rewarding or frantic than as a racer, since wrecking a cruiser has very little consequence. If you wreck your car as a racer while being pursued, you lose any points you gathered during that road session. If you get way ahead of cops or other racers, the game catches them up to you to make the races more interesting, which can sometimes be frustrating. The race modes are also a bit limited, and there's not really any urban areas on the map. Other than that stuff, it's a solid arcade racer. It's definitely not a racing sim, but if you've played any other NFS games, this one plays about the same. Conceptually, this game is basically a cross between the last two NFS games, Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit, but it is more like HP once the race starts. The cars do allow some visual and performance customization as a racer, but don't expect anything too deep. In my opinion, if you have Hot Pursuit already, wait for this one to come down in price, but it's a good game if you just want a fun arcade racer to play.
not my type of need for speed
when I first saw this game I thought sweet another need for speed game. and then I thought hope it's better then most wanted. sad truth is none of them are really good. In this game rivals you don't have to search a whole bunch of places for hidden cars. that's the only thing I actually like about this game.
graphics are great if you got a PC graphics card that can handle them and this game.
game play is great but the collisions you do them all the time.
your not just slowly working your way through the levels your drop kicked into online game play while your going into the story mode.
players are very rud and will stop at nothing to get you out of the way
I like how you can go up to a repair shop and boom your all better
the graphics I've got a pretty good one but it doesn't handle them well on the PC version of the game
your dropped into online play
you can't just pull up to a hideout and drop all the money that you just made in the game. you gotta stop and that can cost your time and efforts a lot
the cops are the same exact way as the racers all you have to do is just bust them not much else.
the game your have to do over and over and over again to get the stuff that you want for your cars and that's too much time I'm willing to spend
I suggest the next need for speed whould be something on a slim line of need for speed hot pursuit for the PC that game was sweet
thanks for taking the time in reading this
FPS LOCKED SUCKS
I LIKE THE GAME BUT FPS LOCKED SUCKS I CANT EVEN PLAY LOOKS YELLOW
I HAVE A GAMING PC AND EVERYTHING LOOKS YELLOW THIS GAME HURTS MY EYES
What a waste
I was really excited to get this game and well the excitment runs out pretty fast. The game is basically an online single player game. You can have 5 other racers or cops on the map, but there is pretty much no interaction. If you fail to read this you will soon find out that you feel pretty much alone when playing this game. I really wish I would have chosen Grid 2 over this game. The Grid 2 demo demonstrates graphics that look way better along with better gameplay. The only way that this game could be saved is with a patch that allows for you to actually queue up to race other real people. :(
Buy on a consol
You cant play it at all i get like 2 FPS DONT BUY ON PC its not my PC it happens to everybody. It really is a good game just not on PC
