It perfectly captures the life of a rouge!
I Love this game! although the graphics are a little dated the game play is PERFECT. Lots of good features like Marrying into a royal family or commanding you group of knights is massive battles! DEFINATLY WORTH THE MONEY

Great game decent graphics.
This game is addicting. When I first got it I played 4-5 hours a day. I'm not even good at it, I get dragged around by bandits 10 per play. The game runs kinda slow on my vista so i have to dull down the graphics all the way to play normaly. They are pretty good when there at normal though. But what I do love about this game is that you can do anything. Its a cross between Skyrim and civalization, and its for a great price (btw its cheaper on steam). I would recommend this game to anyone!

Good but after awhile boring
This game is really good but once you start using the cheats and get the best items it starts to get boring. it is really great if you do not use the cheats.

Geat Game
Its great part of the mount and blade series and this game has many featured mod scaling from the native to samurai and assassin's creed to the Peloponnesian war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GREAT GAME
and if you don't like it give it another try because when i first played the game i thought it was stupid maybe because I mainly sucked or it wasn't appealing at the time.

Great game
This game is one of the best games I've ever played, not only it has Singleplayer, it also has Multiplayer which is great and extremely mod-friendly, the developers really put some great effort in this game, the graphics are perfect for an average PC, and there are various texture modifying packs around, the sounds are fine, there aren't many sounds but, why do you need sounds if you can go kill some vikings?! The gameplay itself is a little RPG based, which is a great thing, there is a third person and first person view so both TPS and FPS gamers can get into it real good.

Simply Terrible!
Sometimes the idea or the concept of a game suggests great promise. This is one of those titles. Completely unrealized, however. Simply put; this is a terrible game. The story, if you can call it that, reminds me of an old commodore 64 text adventure. I do not mean that in a vaguely flattering way. Graphics are extremely dated, and that is being kind. In-game controls and "feel" are something to be expected from a second year game programmer school project. Seriously, is Paradox Interactive playing a practical joke? In my opinion, this is a free to shareware game at best. Spending more than 1 hour on this game (playing it) requires some type of monetary investment, otherwise anyone with good sense would simply uninstall it almost immediately. I am completely surprised at the fact that this is a title on a store shelf. Marketing is good, as well as the box graphics, but that is where the good ends. The rest is dreadfully inadequate for a game published since 2000.

Tough to get into
This game has a lot of great concepts going for it but the execution leaves much to be desired. The graphics first of all are quality circa 2002. The fighting animations are clunky and the physics of missle attacks is far from realistic. The idea to control the direction of sword swings and defense is a great concept but the mouse movements are slow to respond and unreliable. For instance, if you want to swing your sword from the right you need to move the mouse right and click the right mouse button. However, moving the mouse right also moves the orientation of your character and the game sometimes gets confused to if you want to move right or swing from the right. Save your money and look to mount and blade II that hopefully will remove many of the negatives i have posted here.
