PC Gaming has never been easier

Product Details:

It is a time of war. Galbadia, a Global Superpower, has declared war on Dollet, a country whose training academy is home to two personalities: the hot-headed Seifer and the 'lone wolf', Squall Leonhart.

Both are equally at conflict with each other as their country is with Galbadia; to others, Squall appears lacking in team spirit, while Seifer lacks the discipline of his rival. However, a chance encounter with the free-spirited Rinoa Heartilly turns Squall's universe upside down; having thrived on discipline, Squall find the carefree Rinoa fascinating. He also begins to dream that he is Laguna Loire, a Galbadian army soldier... Meanwhile, a sorceress manipulates the most powerful men in Galbadia. Squall and Seifer are forced to cooperate on a mission to assassinate the sorceress. Will they succeed in putting aside their differences, and end the war that has ravaged their planet? What part does the mysterious Laguna play? Only you can decide what happens next, as the greatest Role Playing Adventure of all time returns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent Game I was hooked on FF7 so I didn't know about this one but I bought it anyways because I love FF games. So I bought it and was very impressed from the very start. It doesn't have the same in depth story line and side quest like FF7 but was still a excellent game I like the card game spent hours playing it and collecting all the cards and the way the card game rules always changed regionally and world wise was a challenge sometimes. And all these years later I am still playing it lol so yea I loved it just the same as FF7. Which I have all the FF games from the first up to the later ones when I started losing intrest just was be comeing more movie like than actual game play ect. as this one and FF7.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Story, Love the Characters If you have the time to get into a story then please make it a Final Fantasy game. These games have always been known for their beauty and revolutionary turn-based gameplay. Though Final Fantasy 8 doesn't bring much new gameplay to the series, it brings characterization to a whole new level. You will learn to love the characters in FF8 and you definitely should play it on PC, even if you had already played it on the old PlayStation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Final Fantasy EVER! Sure there was a lot of hype for 7 but I feel 8 is the best one yet. The graphics are superior, story is superior, and not to mention character interactions. For example, there are point of times in the game where YOU decide what he says/reacts in the game. When it was released on the original PS one, it was a 4 disk game to give you a idea of how long it is. And yes, I still have that copy. You won't regret this game. This is perhaps my favorite game of all time. Enemies level up with you. So you're always at a challenge in battle. Cut scenes are just mind blowing. Just when you think you have the concept of the story you get side struck by a sudden twist. You won't regret this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Final Fantasy I have played this game since the original release date. I have played the game countless time from beginning to end and im still not tired of it. You can not play this game like final fantasy 7 or you will be highly disappointed but i have never played a final fantasy game that have been completely similar. Give this game a fair chance and you will see for yourself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game It is my personal favorite final fantasy game. It takes time to beat, a few months if you do not just play it. But it has great character development.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Game FF8 was nothing specia. FF8 had a really bad story that lacked substance and aside from squall the characters were very boring and uninteresting. I felt like I was trying to play the video game version of a teeny bopper movie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best Final Fantasy games. FF8 Final Fantasy 8 is such an excellent game. It came out with for PlayStation One. They remade a version greatest hits which also sold out fast. Online PlayStation network Final Fantasy fans can download this game for PSP GO, PlayStation 3, and I heard also for PSP Vita. Final Fantasy fans, you will love this game. Just because I am such a big fan of Final Fantasy 8. Some of my friends already bought the downloadable version of Final Fantasy 8.
