An Expansion Pack Worthy of Playing
Introduction- the story picks up one day after the events of the original F.E.A.R. The entire city has been devastated due to the explosion of the Origin Facility. However, Alma is still out there and Paxton Fettel? Oh yea, he's back, along with his pack of Replicas ready to shoot you into a bloody mess. Your goal is to survive and make it to the Extraction Point, hence the title.
The story is not as well written as the original, but it does a competent job of keeping you in the loop since it plays out as one big escape sequence. . The AI is quite challenging, and the new toys (the Mini-Gun, the Laser Carbine, and the Deployable Gun Turret) and enemies are a nice addition. One of the new enemies is a near invisible figure with glowing red eyes. They're pretty weak, but due to their speed you MUST use your slow-mo ability to take them down and they present a worthy challenge. The new environments such as the church, the warehouse, the subway, the parking lot, the adjacent office building, and hospital are all nice, but sometimes it reminds me of the original F.E.A.R. due to the reuse of large amount of textures from the original game.
Graphics: The static from your radio foreshadows something creepy might happen and odd visual effects will keep you on your toes. Objects are subtly moved or nudged, which will always draw your attention.
Sound: is used effectively with creepy voices that'll make you think twice before turning the corner.
This game is also scarier then the original (especially the hospital levels) so better bring an extra pair of pants. While the story is not as good as the original, this is still a worthy and challenging expansion that all F.E.A.R. fans should love.
Note: You DO NOT need the original F.E.A.R. to play this expansion pack.

AHHHH!
If you believe games are like movies (sequels or expansions suck) YOUR WRONG! This expansion for f.e.a.r. is so jam packed with stuff its incredible. It continues the story of young and the connection to Alma And Paxton Fettel. This game is at least 3 times scarier than any other game I have ever played just to warn you. The graphics are still great and the AI is very impressive. They will constantly try to flank you and flush you out of cover. The sound from everything around you are incredible too making it feel more realistic as you play. Also it continues what f.e.a.r. is famous for, its explosive firefights. You'll come up to a 5 on 1 fight and bullets will fly by EVERYWHERE, with sparks and explosions. Its most fun throwing a grenade at a group of enemies and watching their limbs come off and here them Scream. I recommend you buy this if you are a fan of the original because you need the original downloaded in order to play this on you PC.

Great Addition
This is a Great Addition to the original game. Extraction Point starts off exactly where the first left off and continues the adventure. its the same great gameplay from the first and adds in a few new goodies such as new hostiles, weapons, portable turrets, breakable supply crates and the ability to kick in doors for faster entry. This one Seemed a bit more challenging then the first and a bit more darker, bloodier and creepy. The only things i can really nit pick about this one was they took away the ability to pick up unused proximity mines like the first, and being a expansion on the original it would have been nice if you got to keep your upgraded health and reflexes from the original after beating it (instead u start at normal health and reflexes and build them up over again) but niether of those are a real big deal. Overall If you enjoy Horror and FPS games then I suggest you check this one out, the original and the 2nd expansion.
