Diablo III Collector's Edition
I'm buying this after the BETA Test!!!
OMG... I got the Diablo III BETA Key this week and it's Amazing!!!
Of course you can only play the first act but you can feel the power of every character, race, skills and way to play!!! smooth game, real justice for the Saga, the best worthy time (10 years) waiting an impeccable game!!!
I'm getting for sure the Collector's Edition, and start playing from day 1...! huge fan here and hope to see you online for some CO-OP games!!! the BETA is well done, I don't think there is too much time for the release!
I cannot wait!
This has been my dream since 2001 when I heard they are already making a new Diablo. I've been a hardcore fan for over a decade and will continue supporting Blizzard because of they're wonderful work. How many companies can say that they have such a vast player community after a release date that was 10 years ago?
I love the D3 beta and cannot play enough of it.
Just pre-ordered the Collectors Edition and cannot wait for this. Already planning my 2-weeks off for the release. Kind of sad that I am saving my PTO at work for a game but hey... its DIABLO!!! :)
The Game is Everything As Expected!!!!!!!
I've been fortunate enough to be playing beta since the end of October. My analysis so far is that it is just as amazing as I had hoped from the very beginning. The game play, quests, and overall feel of the game is a testament to Blizzard's dynamic. By far, both the Wizard and Barbarian classes are my favorite currently. For those that have played D2, this will be a welcomed nostagalia. For those that have never experienced the Diablo Universe, this will be a breath of fresh air. Though there is a very low level cap in the beta, it has not stopped me from killing the final boss multiple times. The game can be that addicting at times. Mark this game on your calendar as this will be a MUST HAVE TITLE!!!!!
Diablo 3 is a powerful story & incredible graphics
I have access to Diablo 3 Beta, and have logged over 20 hours in the beta, and have explored every inch of the game. From the smallest blade of grass to the biggest boss encounter the game is a beautiful work of art. The physics embedded in the game synchronize very well with the envelopment to bring a realistic and strong feeling. The game demonstrates astonishing game play value, that feels unique every time you play it. The dungeons in the game recreate themselves for every play through and yield unique loot and versatile creatures. Once the game is released one can expect the stores to be crowded with aw-inspired gamers, thus I reccomend purchasing the game online, or ordering the game to be shipped to your home.
Played D1, D2, and LOD.
This game looks amazing. Since I pre-ordered it, Im so hyped to be a monk with crazy angel wings, its killing me inside. Really hope Blizz releases this before Diablo comes alive in real life and kills us all... 2012 people. =D
This game is going to be amazing.
There's a reason Diablo II: Lord of Destruction multiplayer still gets updated even now, over 10 years following it's release. Blizzard just release great products. Sure, it takes forever, but if forever is what it takes to get a polished gem like Diablo II, then so be it. I've played Diablo II for about six years on and off. Can't wait to get my hands on D3! First game I've ever pre-ordered. Thank you GameStop!
Stay awhile and...
Ok, so being a fan of this game I must say I already have my leave slips in for work ( 3 days ) > : ). With that said don't miss work to play this game...haha...but deff take a vaca to play it. The collectors addition is very solid. Lots of cool in game content plus the discs, and on top of that a very bad A Diablo skull to decorate the desk what more can you ask for...very very awesome!!! Cant wait to see whats in store for all of us. Oh yea although I wont get to play my druid, would still like to say...So it begins. :)
Diablo III CE Summary
It seems as time goes by, Collector Editions are becoming more and more expensive and the question of whether it's worth it keeps coming up. This preview looks into that question and provides facts to determine if the Diablo III Collector's Edition is worth the extra $40.
Here is what I believe everything to be worth. If it has a tilde (~) next to it, it means the price is my best guess based on a little looking around. Afterwards, I will explain my reasoning for the prices.
Diablo III Game: $60
Art Book: ~$40
Diablo II and LoD: $30
Flash Drive: ~$10
WoW Pet Fetish Shaman: $10
Diablo III Aesthetic Artifacts: ???
Starcraft II Portraits: ???
The price of Diablo III is obviously based off the price of the normal D3 edition.
The price for the art book is based off the Cataclysm Art book since they're both from Blizzard and are roughly the same amount of pages (D3 actually has more pages). I found that the Cataclysm Art book goes for over $40 on several websites, so I made the Diablo III art book sit at $40.
The Diablo II and LoD that comes on the flash drive are based on the Diablo II Battle Chest that Gamestop sells for $30.
The average price of game/movie soundtracks on various websites seems to be around $15, so that's what I decided to put down for the D3 soundtrack.
Flashdrives are rather cheap currently, with 4GB being pretty small. You can buy a 4GB flash drive for under $10, but seeing as this is exclusive to the D3 CE, I rounded it to $10.
The WoW pet price is simply based on what pets currently go for from Blizzard's store, which is $10.
The behind the scenes DVD isn't worth a whole lot, but it does come with Blu-Ray so it'll be worth a bit more than other behind the scenes videos, such as the one that came with the Cataclysm CE.
The rest of the things I can't put a price on. It doesn't say who manufactures the Skull or what it's made out of, so that could either be worth some money, or it could be worthless.
Total retail value (not taking into account the ??? items): $175
These prices are obviously at highest retail price. What these things are actually worth is a matter of opinion from person to person. To me, the extra $40 is completely worth it.
Simply think about what's included and form your own opinion on whether or not you'll be picking this up.
Plan Your Vacation Time
After a decade, D3 is becoming a reality. After many release date pushbacks and years of waiting, I'm still very willing to purchase the Collector's Edition.
With all the bonus content, it was easy to see myself standing in line at a midnight launch for this game. And with the awesome USB containing D2 and LOD, I can relive many of my high school years playing this game with friends.
A must buy for the Diablo-fan in you!
Finally we have the chance to pre-order the Diablo III Collector's Edition. Jam-packed with amazing on-line and off-line features. Although it is a tad more expensive than previous Blizzard Collector's Editions ($79.99), I believe the price is justified for the content. This is a must for any true Blizzard/Diablo fan and missing out on this opportunity to pre-order might not bode well for the collector. World of Warcraft Collector's Edition when it was first released was easily sold-out and would pop up on-line from time to time for nearly $1000. Although I doubt that'll be the case with Diablo III (Blizzard learned their lesson with making something a "limited edition"), its best to take advantage of its availability now while there are still copies. I doubt this game will disappoint and when fans complained that early screenshots made the game too "bright and cheerful", Blizzard went back to the drawing board and made some interesting changes. After watching some beta clips on youtube, I am extremely impressed with the gothicly dark enviroments and look forward to the release of this incredible game. I started Diablo I and Diablo II back in highschool, and the third installment will just bring back that nostalgia. So why don't you take a journey with me east to the lands of Sanctuary? Evil awaits!
