Why Battlefield 3 Premium Edition is so Amazing
Battlefield 3, in my opinion, is the greatest FPS on the market. That is because of the enjoyable gameplay, amazing graphics, and awesome features in Battlefield 3. Battlefield games differ from other FPS games because of drivable vehicles, a totally destructible environment, and huge maps. In Battlefield 3, you can drive vehicles such as jets, IFVs, helicopters, armored cars, and tanks just to name a few. Not only can you drive these vehicles, but you can also ride in jeeps, gunships, helicopters, and IFVs. As I mentioned earlier, a great thing about Battlefield 3 is the destructible environment. Walls, roofs, cover, and people can all be destroyed with explosives and sometimes bullets. This makes it so that if you're having a hard time killing an enemy because he's hiding behind a wall, you could just use any sort of explosive, or maybe even bullets, to kill him. The maps in Battlefield 3 are huge allowing for intense vehicle gameplay and large scale infantry wars. Another cool thing about Battlefield 3 is the class customization. You can play as a regular assault/medic, engineer, support, or recon soldier. Speaking of classes, your starting weapons are actually good guns. I've played CoD Black Ops (the first one) and I personally think that the starting weapons are terrible. You won't have that problem in Battlefield 3, though! With Premium, you can get a bunch of stuff you can't get anywhere else. Without Premium, your knife is a regular army knife, but with Premium you have the ACB-90 survival knife, which, to be honest with you, is really a yellow-handled box cutter. The ACB-90 and the regular knife preform just as well, though. You also unlock DLCs a week earlier, and the DLCs are free for Premium members. You also have special videos and events that you can see on Battlelog. Battlelog is just like Call of Duty Elite, except for Battlelog is free. Well, Elite's free too, but only for Black Ops 2 players. Anyways, Premium is really worth your money. These features are what makes Battlefield 3 a very unique and enjoyable video game.
HOWEVER, there are a few problems with this game. The biggest problem is that you cannot play split-screen! If you want to play with your friend, you're gonna have to take turns handing off the controller or get another PS3, controller, and TV and play online. You also must have an Origin account (which is free) and Wi-Fi. You can not play by yourself against bots like you can in CoD Black Ops.
If you can't tell, I really like Battlefield, and I think you will too, so if you're really not sure if this game's for you, at least try renting it. You'll love it.
