Fun and Relaxing to Play
I love this game. It is great to just sit back and build a great looking futuristic city. After A long day this is just a solid relaxing game to play.

Anno 2070, nailed it.
What an awesome idea, setting, and style for this game. It looks amazing and plays great. The reason I knocked a pip off for lasting appeal and game play is because it is difficult to learn the ropes on this game. I am a n00b when it comes to these types of games, but the setting, music, and the reward of having a beautiful city made me want to keep playing.
Some of the levels feel like a glorified tutorial, and that is pretty much what the single player is about. The story/voice acting isn't the greatest in the world but is good. The online features add an enormous amount of investment in this game. The voting for the senate and the world council feature makes you feel engaged. The chat system could be refined a bit, but is good (would be nice to see a list of players).
Overall, I have recommended this game to friends. It is fantastic and I look forward to playing it as soon as I get back from work.

Great game, Sadly requires online connection
This game is absolutely fantastic. The graphics are excellent, as well as the severely improved gameplay (from previous anno games, it has not only maintained consistency, but made it interesting enough to bother with). In some campaign missions, the fact that your base carries over from the previous missions has left me at a disadvantage, with a poorly designed base that leaves me cripplingly in debt, due to the gamers' tendency to sacrifice in order to achieve the current objectives. (I would have -1100 cash flow at times, for example) The only true downside is not with the game itself, it is with Ubisoft's attempts to make all games require an internet connection, and keep saves on a server. This in and of itself is not a major issue with the game, I can always retrieve my saves, but it is simply a worrying trend in gaming in general. I would fully recommend this game to anyone who enjoys city builders, and anyone who enjoys an excellent story.

Incredible game with Major Issues
For such a great series and a beautiful looking game, I have to recommend not to purchase this game unless Ubisoft fixes problems. I purchased two days ago and unable to play any saved games or progress in the campaign mode due to their server problems. Sad that a non-MMO has to rely on servers to play a single player campaign. I'd try the other modes but as described in many places on the net, this game has so many more options and complexities from previous version that campaign really is just a tutorial. So no campaign play, no way to learn the game. Also, their forums will continue to be down for another week so you can't troubleshoot. Again, so sad for what seems like an awesome game in this series.
