18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul
this was a really good game it was just a blast for me and my sister
the game is only fun for 5 minutes its hard not to crash and the 18 wheeler is slow if you are like me and like me and like suvs or cars and you think this is close to what want you are wrong
fun but hard not to get a ticket from the cops on hard its likke easy
This gave is very long but is fun. i think they should make another game of this type and use real trucks and real companies an and like a training area to train you to back up your truck so when you get to the destination you know how to do it. but this game is very good and i would buy this game if i was you.
A good game if u hav time on your hands
First of all, this game is EXTREMELY long. All u do is drive over to the companies to accept a job to haul cargo throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. The graphics are good if u hav a computer that meets the requirements. Most computers after 2006 can produce this game without any lag. There is NO storyline. U can do whatever u want. U could drive around the US, crash into cars, or get into trouble with the police. Wen u deliver the cargo u then have to back up into the loading dock. When u speed around or crash into cars this bar at the top of the screen will fill up. Then when there is a cop sitting on the side of the road, u will get a fine for whatever u did. The truck customzation is little. U can add lights, repaint it, add a BVI , antilock braking system, etc. U can even repair your truck when it is damaged at the repair shop. U can even buy a more powerful engine, brakes, tires, transmission.
Every free-trial download seems to have ad-ware. Be very cautious when you download this. Otherwise its a preety good game. I LOVE the truck customisation. The added features of the truck make it all too realistic. The only problems is those pesky cops! It seems preety difficult to know the speed limit. And there seems to be a cop around every corner. But otherwise, it makes a good fun game. If i had any suggestions, i would definetly say that it needs longer roads, some people think i must be insane, but if you want the most realistic trucking sim, you should have longer roads! But, to satisfy your craving, you can accept longer hauls, such as Canada to Mexico. The graphics are impressive, but could be better. Another suggestion might be heating and cooling elements. IT does have a raidio, but its a bit confusing when you just start out.
All the components of the real thing
I really enjoyed this game after downloading it from Gamestop. I love the expanse of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. To drive cross-country, it takes in real-time about three hours. Even longer if you hit every gas station, weigh station, hotel, and service station. I like the truck customization. The better the engine, the more fuel efficient your truck is, even when generating more power. The only flaw I see is the actual size of the game. Compared to San Andreas, at 13.9 square miles, this is the UNIVERSE in comparison. But that comes at a price. in a higher resolution setting, the framerate quickly drops and initial gameplay loads are sometimes lengthy depending on where your main garage is located and what it's initial surroundings are. Otherwise, this is a very good game.
