Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with most games I have tried the link with quite a few games and it works great. I do have one game which the mouse is only partially working. It acts like it hangs up. I have a wireless mouse and keyboard connected. The keyboard works great. I am getting the steam controller to go with the link and see if that will take the place of the mouse.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It sucks and acts like a HDMI cord You will save your money buy buying a long HDMI cord or buying an adapter and HDMI if your computer only has HDMI IN because all it does is mirror your computer sure with very little delay and wirelessly but it is a waste of money when you can spend 20$ on an adapter and cord and getting a controller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GARBAGE PRODUCT - DO NOT BUY There's no power button. If you don't have a wired device, or maybe a Steam Controller, you cannot turn it on without disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord. If you don't have a wired device or Steam Controller, you cannot get past a prompt telling you to connect one. That means if you want to use a bluetooth controller you already have, you first have to connect something else to convince the thing to turn on, then you can switch to your preferred controller. It says it works natively with non-Steam controllers, but it does not do so reliably. Steam does not allow reviewing this product on their website (not surprising). This has turned out to be so much of a headache, I think I'd rather play my 2D games on XBox One, and leave my PC for VR gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate couch gaming solution for PC The Steam Link is a perfect device for using your PC for gaming from your living room. Its setup is effortless, and everything I've plugged into it has simply worked with no hassle. The product is designed to stream Steam games to your living room, and the USB ports let you use Keyboard and Mouse, or a Gamepad, whatever you fancy. It is small, lightweight, and simple in appearance - not an eyesore at all. Its design gets a 9/10 only because it only has 2 USB ports, but a USB hub functioned perfectly with no additional steps. A few things to watch out for: Get a wired connection in your living room if you don't already. It is a must for action games, but if you have it wired, you will experience zero input lag. If you are experiencing input lag, check your TV's settings to see if some image processing is slowing you down. Lastly, I'll add that the Link can be used [abused?] to stream pretty much anything you want from your home PC, but as that is not an 'official' feature of the product, I consider it icing on the cake. It replaces my needs for a media center PC in every way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Firmware Upgrades made this better than ShieldTV One important feature that people don't know is the SteamLink will play anything on your PC. Not only games in your Steam Library. Simply minimize big picture mode and you're at your Desktop. I just spent the last hour playing Overwatch in the living room with my wireless Xbox One controller and 5.1 surround sound. Something I can't do with my Nvidia ShieldTV. More controller options, vibration enabled, and run your entire desktop. With more features on the way. SteamLink truly did beat out Nvidia's GameStream.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as intended but... This product does everything it claims to and set up is very easy to manage. People that are complaining of lag related issues are most likely streaming from their pcs through the wireless option, this should not be done. Wireless in-home streaming a video is not going to be good for a very long time. You will want to hook this up with the ethernet to your router, along with what ever you are streaming from. If you do dual wireless streaming, I'm sorry but, you need to use some common sense here. I use this link with both a steam controller and a ps4 controller through bluetooth (yes it is possible, and it works great). You will occasionally get performance dips in this, but nothing substantial, just use the balanced streaming mode and you will be ok. You really should not stream an FPS unless you really only play them, this is perfect for an RPG like Final Fantasy. Please be open minded with this product it will save you a lot of money if you use it properly. I love mine, saved me from building another gaming rig, $50 vs. at least $1300....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want to like it... I really wanted to like this product. It is a good product in theory. In practice, it's a different story. I'll start off with the strong points: It is great for people with a library that ONLY exists on Steam, and you can hardwire it directly to your computer's ethernet port for flawless performance (or if you're in a college dorm where the network to connect a computer is different than the one to connect a game console, since the steam link has to be on the same network as your computer), but more on that later. That's about it for the pros though. If you are someone who primarily plays games through Uplay or Origin, this product is not for you. Steam OS will not launch any outside games you may have imported to your Steam library. You would be better off with an Nvidia Shield, which costs 4x as much and requires a supported Nvidia GPU. Also, that "hardwire directly to the computer" thing I mentioned earlier? You can't update the system like that, which rendered the $150 Xbox One Elite controller I bought with this useless, as this controller actually requires the Steam Link to be updated to the latest firmware to work at all. In addition, the Steam Link only supports first party controllers, so I couldn't even use this thing with the only other controller I had, which is a GameStop brand Xbox 360 controller. However, my roommate's Microsoft Xbox 360 controller worked no problem. To recap: If you are buying this product, have an out-of-the-box supported first party controller (or mouse/keyboard), and a simple configured WiFi network (so NOT a college WiFi network), and all the games you want to play on the couch work with Steam OS, then this is a perfect solution. If you are under any other circumstances, then you're better off buying a long HDMI cable, buying an Nvidia Shield/Steam Machine, or building an HTPC as I will be doing.
