Product Details:

STORY OF SEASONS is the beginning of a new chapter in the Bokujo Monogatari' series, a long-standing and top-selling farming/life simulation franchise. Though the series is reborn with a new name, it continues the well-loved traditions of customizable farms, animal care, marriage and child-rearing. After creating a customized character, players can live out a new life by cultivating their favorite fruits and vegetables while expanding and filling their farm with their choice of animals. Fans of past games in the series will love the many new additions on display here, including an enhanced variety of seeds, pets, and other ways to make their farms truly their own. But the major addition is the new theme of connectivity,' as trading with other countries will help grow the player's crop variety and wallet, as well as the prosperity of the entire town. Players can also connect locally via WiFi to visit one another's farms and tend crops as a team, expanding both their harvests and their friendships.

Best-selling farming/life simulation game of all time returns
Longtime series producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto returns to lead a veteran Bokujo Monogatari' development team as the series is reborn in the West with its new name, STORY OF SEASONS.

    Extensive character and farm customization
After creating unique farmers based on each player's preference of gender, hair style and facial features, the real work begins as players tend to crops, animals and anything else required to earn a living in order to gather the resources to start customizing and expanding their farms.

Connectivity expands the world and possibilities
Players' connections with people both in and out of the game greatly impacts their life and effectiveness as a farmer. Triumph over rival farmers in-game to expand ownership of farmable plots of land, ship goods to neighboring countries to increase the products available in the local market, or connect to other players locally via Wi-Fi to visit each other's farms, work the fields together and exchange gifts.

A heart-throbbing romance heats up the peaceful farm life
A variety of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes live in the town for players to woo, with the hope of growing close and possibly even getting married and raising a family together.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Horrible If the horrible graphics arent enough to turn you away, just playing through the tutorial will be enough. this is by far the worst game i have ever played and hate myself for wasting a non-refundable 40 dollars on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome game I haven't been disappointed with my purchase. One of the best Harvest Moon game's I've played so far. Graphics could have been a bit better though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Harvest Moon fans will be blown away From the moment I created a file in Story of Seasons, I was undeniably hooked. As most know, this is the newest "true" Harvest Moon installment, and it does not disappoint its predecessors. The story begins like most other Harvest Moon titles (this is your new farm from some family member, blah blah), but the endless amount of features in this game somehow separates it from previous Harvest Moon games in the best possible way. Farming becomes more enjoyable, as your equipment upgrades make it easier and easier to water an entire crop field, which you'll be grateful for as you have animals to care for, a safari to mine, and a farm that begs you to customize it with your choice of decor. Shipping is a little more difficult, as you have to wait for traders to come into town and purchase your goods. The more you sell to these traders, the more traders unlock, which gives you access to all new items, farm animals, crops, blueprints, and clothing design patterns. Some people didn't like having to wait for traders to visit, but that aspect actually motivated me to unlock the rest of the vendors so that purchasing new goods felt more satisfying. Crafting clothes, jewelry, tools, and house upgrades can be very difficult. Some craft-able items need materials that cannot be found until year three or later, which encourages the player to log more hours in Oak Tree Town. Now, my favorite part.. The bachelors and bachelorettes. There are six eligible men and women for you to choose from, and they're all drastically different. So, choosing one that fits your tastes won't be difficult. They all have entertaining backstories, so you'll more than likely enjoy watching any and all of their character progressions. Outside of the marriage material, the other NPC's are a blast to get to know too. Everyone in Oak Tree Town is pretty eccentric, so you'll never get bored speaking to anyone in town. The last feature I'll cover is the competition aspect the game has implemented. Players are able to compete with other NPC farmers for access to fields that are spread around town. This is a detrimental part of the game, because certain crops can only be grown in these winnable fields. In order to experience the game fully, unlocking and winning these fields will be your saving grace. Overall, this is an amazing game that's well worth the money and the days you'll spend in bed exploring all that Story of Seasons has to offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love It!!!!!!! I recommend this gameplay because I have all Harvest Moon games and I know all about it; its special and cool, this game is more cool because some seeds are from mario like toadstool, star, and the fire flower. Don't lose the chance to have it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't STOP! Very addicting. The only things I am not a fan of are how slow it is to get through the set up at the very beginning of the game and the music playing CONSTANTLY in the background if you happen to like having volume when you play (like me). Other than those 2 minor things, this is an amazing game! I have no regrets buying it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THIS is what a Harvest Moon game is like. But now it should be called Story of Seasons. I was SO disappointed with a Tale of Two Towns and A New Beginning. This game brings back everything I loved: interesting characters, great heart events, making the best farm, and new things as well: competitions with fellow farmers so you don't feel like the only person in the game who's busy, "connectivity with other worlds/towns/traders" and just a great sense of fun. Once you get past week 1-tutorial week-you can do what you want-fishing, swimming, harvesting crops, planting crops, wooing your "special someone", wrecking your rivals in competitions, etc. And did I mention that the characters are really interesting and likeable? You won't have to worry about snobbish people *Allen* in Story of Seasons! Unless you decide you want to go after the rich girl, Elise-though she seems to have a different side to her than when you start out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want more... I know this is a Harvest Moon extension. I am a HUGE fan of Rune Factory and Fantasy Life. I wanted to try out a farming simulator and heard this was going to be next best thing. Disappointed... Farming is okay, but they really don't go into and it is a lot of figure it out yourself... Gaining materials is hard and few and far between. Crafting is okay. Cooking is okay. Animals are okay. I accidentally threw my fishing pole in the water while trying to fish. Took me two whole seasons and 100,000 to finally get the sewing station to make yarn so I could create a new one. The people in town are boring and say the same things every single day so i just stopped talking to them. Go buy Animal Crossing or Rune Factory instead...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing! This game is amazing, I love it! I have played all of the harvest moon games, and this one is definitely my favorite. It is so much better than the lost valley.
