A Console Quality Soccer Game on the Go
The 3DS is a powerful system. It truly is. However, it all comes down to the developers of the games for the system to use this power to its full extend for us users to see. Many of the sports titles released on the 3DS, while not bad games, did not attempt to show off the amazing power of the handheld. Madden showcased some decent graphics and had fun game-play, but it was too bare-bones and had little content. FIFA had decent visuals and a nice assortment of modes but suffered from limited game-play and the lack of online. PES 2012 3D attempts to be the first handheld sports game for the 3DS to truly be like its console counterparts. And fortunately, it succeeds. ----- The visuals in this game are impressive. They look very nice and resemble an early XBOX 360 launch title. Kind of looks like FIFA 06 or FIFA 07. ----- The game is packed with modes. There are many leagues to participate in, plus you can play through the expansive master league mode and lead your team to victory. You can also play Become a Legend, which is essentially Be a Pro mode. There is also a World Player mode, cups to participate in, training, gallery, edit mode, and even online play. The game is oozing with exciting and in-depth modes to play through. The online works great and shows little to no lag. It tracks your wins and losses and finds matched quickly. However, there aren't always a ton of people online, but when there is an open match you join and start fairly fast. ----- The game plays a lot like the FIFA games do, which is a very good thing. The game runs fast and smoothly. You have complete control over your player, and while your player may drift off to his own decisions at times, its nothing big and it happens in almost every other sports game out there. Once you get used to the game, you will be enjoying every minute of it. I like the touchscreen trick buttons, but it is weird how you need to look up a password on the internet in order to access them. Overall though, the game plays great and will seem familiar to the normal FIFA player. ----- Overall, PES 2012 3D is an excellent sports title that captures a console experience and shoves it into a little 3D cartridge (oh, and I forgot to mention that the 3D is great in this game, at least when you are playing on the 3D camera view). This game is packed with good visuals, tons of detailed modes to play through, fun online, and is surrounded by a solid game of soccer. If you have been waiting for a full console sport experience on a handheld or just want a fantastic game of soccer on the go, then this is your game.
I'll be honest, the game has amazing graphics, but the gameplay is just horrible. I love the past PES and FIFA games, but this one is just bad. You can choose your difficulty which ranges from beginner, amateur, regular, professional and top player. Beginner is obviously piece of cake, but amateur and regular gets real hard. The CPU plays like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, I have 3 defenders against this CPU but it somehow manages to score on regular. The CPU goal keepers are just iron wall with no flaws, they do bruce lee moves from one end of the post to the other. Extremely fast players are really wanted in this game even if it's some no name player. skill doesn't matter much.
Over all, the controlling is terrible and the CPU is ridiculously annoying.
Looks Like a Snag of a Game
There may not seem to be a lot of information about this game, but there really is some sweet features that have been announced for this title. It has improved visuals, more modes, an enhanced master league mode, and online play. And of course, it's all in 3D. This game seems great and will probably be the best portable soccer game to date.
Could This be the Portable Soccer Experience?
There was talk about this game being cancelled for the 3DS. Well good news: it isn't cancelled. At a Japanese 3DS press conference, the developers of this game said that a version of PES 2012 are heading for the Wii, 3DS, and IOS later this year. There is even a short game-play video for the 3DS game on YouTube if you hunt it down. The game looks great, and I am hoping it has as many features as the console versions, and I am keeping my fingers crossed for online play.
This game is amazing! I love it and it is very good! A few complaints i have of past fifa/PES games are that the keepers are inpenetrable! Exact oppisite the goalkeepers are good but beatable and this game has so MANY different game play modes! VERY GOOD!
i heard that this game has online multiplayer unlike fifa 12 and PES 2011 i might get this game and if it does have multiplayer whoever wants to face me my name is Greg and my fiend code is 1934-0692-4418
The 3ds version of PES 2011 is awesome! I surely can't wait for the 2012 to come out!
SO GOOD! BETTER THAN FIFA FOR 3DS! The only bad thing is the fact that the English premier league has made up names.
There is alot to say about this.
Okay first, Konami dudes, it's still 2011. You already released one this year. 2nd, don't announce a game unless you're already sure it'll be pretty good. 3rd, seriously? Of all the great games that you guys could make on 3DS, you choose 2 soccer games and frogger? What about a new castlevania? Or a fun rush n' attack game, the last one was a fail.
