by WiiStation4U Hoenn returns in glorious 3D!
We knew this day was coming after the announcement of HeartGold and SoulSilver, and all of the hints in X and Y. The Hoenn adventure is finally returning with tons of new features! Where to start? In addition to adding in Mega Evolution and three generations' worth of new mechanics, we'll also see classic features return better than ever, such as Pokemon Contests and Secret Bases. While it still hasn't been revealed, it's likely that character customization from X and Y could make a return, so we'll be able to outfit May and Brendan however we want. As a longtime fan of Pokemon and owner of both the original Sapphire and Emerald, I'm very excited for this game! Another great feature is that, if you're like me and hold on to all of your old consoles and games, you'll be able to transfer your original Hoenn team to this game through Pokemon Bank. How awesome is that!?

Rated 10 out of 10 by MerkHuesic I CAN'T DESCRIBE IN WORDS HOW GOOD THIS GAME IS
This remake is amazing. The remade storyline with the new engine is great for Hoenn. The new features like flying with Latios and Latias are stunning in the full 3D. Obviously, this game isn't going to be as good looking as The Order:1886 or as bad looking as an 8-bit game, but it's really good for the 3DS. Anyways, this game isn't really about the graphics. The new DexNav feature is great if you want to find a specific pokemon and is very helpful for filling your Pokedex. Mega Evolutions are another fun integration, I love the XY feature integrations. This game will give the same, if not better, feeling that you had playing the original Hoenns. It gives a sense of the old being reimagined and redesigned with the new, an Nintendo, after all the mistake you've made recently, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are steaks in a world of
famine. You nailed it. Definitely invest your money into at least one of these masterpieces, as for me, I got both.

I originally played Ruby, sapphire and emerald back on the gameboy advance. Those were the last pokemon games I played through. Coming into Omega Ruby I had low expectations for this remake, thinking it was only graphics and the superficial additions of secret bases and costume pikachu. However, I was surprised with all the new content. Even after the new "Delta Episode" and many hours spent searching for all the extra legendaries, I am still a long ways from "complete." Between online competitions, the Battle Resort, contests and "catching the all" there are plenty of things to keep playing. 45 hours in, many friends have even more, and still a lot of fun...

Ok, well just to sum everything up in one word, this game is just AMAZING! I am not a hardcore gamer but I did my best to not beat this game in a day or two. Taking my time and talking to every person in the game, I finished the game in about 10 days on top of other things. I really like how you can re-battle previously fought trainers as many times as you want. I'm especially glad that the game doesn't have roller blades in it because that kind of ruined pokemon x and y for me. The graphics are amazing and the sound quality is great. Also, after defeating the elite four, there is an additional delta episode featuring the legendary pokemon rayquaza. I'm not really big on reviews but I just want to say one last time that this was the most anticipated game for me this year, and I think Nintendo has done an amazing job creating such a great game. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is such an awesome experience and is perfect for all ages.

Nintendo is running out of new games to make. So what do they do? Remake games. Honestly this game IS good but they are making to many pokemon games. That's all I have to say.

I believe that it was way better than the one made for gameboy advanced. I also liked the extended story line.

I grew up playing Pokemon. If you played the original and didn't like the original ruby and sapphire I would not get this game. The story is pretty much the same with introductions with mega evolution ( only thing that's new to the story). The new mega I liked was mega Gallade. If you spent a lot of time on XY you probably won't really play post game. Since the battle tower is not there. You get to battle ai's like the battle Maison. Pros, good graphics, new megsas, you can use dive again! Cons, too much water, story isn't all that interesting, and not much to do after you beat the game. I didn't like the original game and I didn't like it now. If you didn't play this region I would check it out.

The Hoenn region is back and hopefully better than ever. I have heard about the new soar ability which allows for more freedom in the air but one of the features I loved about the originals was the ability to dive in deeper waters to get different Pokémon and I hope that has not changed and that the graphics and control for it have gotten even better. I know they made X and Y more based on France fashion and romance and that is why there was so many outfits and they say that Ruby and Sapphire are different but I hope their is still a little choice because I will be upset if my only contest outfit as a girl it the pink top and skirt I saw, it is annoying that when a girl and wanting to play a girl ending up in pink. That is my only possible complaint at the moment though. I have pre-ordered and paid for both so all that is left is for them to come out and for me to pick them up.
