Pinball Hall Of Fame Williams Collection - 3DS
The absolute best game for the (forgotten?) Virtual Boy was Galactic Pinball. Of course it also had great stereo sound which complimented the gameplay. I think this Williams Collection is too based off of reality to be quite as good, but I won't know until I buy it. I really hope they add the afforementioned VB game to the nintendo virtual store. ~ Galactic Pinball looks horrible in 2D, but with everything popping out in 3D it really looks amazing.
Realistic Pinball in the palm of your hands!
Pre-ordered since March 2011 at its first release announcement. After a couple release date changes – it arrived!! Yeah.. YES, it was worth the wait. The Williams Collection Pinball Hall of Fame for the 3DS takes portable gaming to the next level with realistic graphics and sounds. Game play is realistic as one can expect from a “hand held” such as the 3DS. Keep in mind that actual graphics is on the top screen, even in 2D mode – and camera angles can be customized to your liking. Using the Circle Pad was an innovative way to simulate the ball launch – controls are straight forward. Flipped Mode took some getting used to, however. Be careful not to shake or move the 3DS too much while manipulating the ball, otherwise you’ll cause a tilt (almost like a real thing).
The 3D effect of the Pinball Hall of Fame “Williams Collection” is incredible and easy on the eyes – unlike the other 3D action and fast paced motion games where I have to disable 3D after several minutes. I can play Pinball in 3D mode much longer.
If you are a “Pinball Wizard” or a Pinball Junkie” with a 3DS, this is the game for you! Crave did an awesome job with this one….and I’m hoping that the Gottlieb Collection for the 3DS is in the works.
Gie it a try!
Pinball now with depth
To start off the 3d effect for this game is amazing and makes the game. The 3d effect is phenomenal giving it the depth of a real pinball table. The 3d effect gives you extra accuracy, if you like pinball get it it is a great pinball game. The 7 tables are good and the challenges(Achievements) add a lot playtime. If you are looking for a game that you can play in spurts then this is your game. This is a fun experience that is worth anybody who even mildly likes pinball time. Wear headphones to enjoy the sound design.
I have a game like this for the ps2 and it is great so i have high hopes for this one!
I enjoy pinball video games, and this looks like a really fun game, and a nice cheap one to, so I can't wait.
No Medieval Madness, No sale!
I was really looking forward to getting this, but once I found out it was missing several of the games from the PS3 and Xbox 360 version I stopped caring. I will save my money on this one.
Of all the games I've bought for my 3DS, ranging from Lego Star Wars to Resident Evil Revelations, this is the best example of 3d graphics I've seen playing a game on this system. As far as gameplay goes, you either like pinball or you don't. If you don't, skip this. If you do, then plunk down your cash and pick this one up. This is also a good game for friends and family. Pinball is easy to learn, so non-gamers or those unfamiliar with handheld gaming systems (i.e., an elderly relative or the family Luddite) can try this out to see the 3d without complicated game mechanics getting in the way.
I personally love arcade games...alot...pinball is one of my favorite games of all time...i can't wait to pick this up...it looks like it'd be fun in 3D!:) I think it's worth the time and money.
3D pinball? Could it be..... fun?
I really doubt this will be fun at all. I mean sure there are some cool pinball games, such as Pinball FX, but Pinball Hall of fame Williams Collection is not one of them. Think, you'll play it for a bit right? Then after an hour, maybe 2, you'll say 'I want a different game, then you'll look around and see that your $29.99 is gone. Forever.
I never played pinball in 3D so this should be amazing!
