Deathgasus Party On with all new stuff!
I love this game because it has 7 board with different rules , like reaching to the finish and collecting many Mini Stars as you can. This game also has boss mini games returning from Mario Party 9 . The characters are also great like all the characters returning from Mario Party DS , Boo and a new character Bowser Jr.. The game has Collectables that you can spend by using Mario Party Points . It's really fun! I point it 9.5 out of 10 !

Rated 6 out of 10 by Bombette It's okay, but definitely could've been WAY better
Since Mario Party DS was one of my favorite games as a child, I picked up a copy Mario Party: Island Tour (despite negative reviews). The soundtrack and stages lack the charisma that made the earlier games so memorable, and the story mode is nothing close to that of MP DS's (it's basically 30 floors of minigames and six incredibly easy bosses, only to discover that (SPOILER ALERT) you actually didn't defeat Bowser in the end). The only thing I particularly like about the game is how most of the minigames rely on actual skill instead of luck, and how each of the boards have a different way of winning (i.re. collecting ministars, etc). I also like how you can actually do things with your Mario Party Points, like spend them on voice bits and music. But then again the earlier games had these available for free. A good use of the MP shop would've been to purchase trophies or something like that, but the game doesn't even HAVE trophies. Overall I'd give it a 6.5/10.

Because of all the mixed reviews, I was hesitant in getting this game, but it is really fun! Instead of collecting stars in party mode like you do in most of the other Mario party games the point is to get to the end as fast as possible! And winning minigames gives you items and power ups to get you there faster! Bowser's tower is great if you want to play by yourself as it is challenging yet very fun! I also love the game mode where you can play random minigames until one person wins 3, 5, or 7 of them! If you are still uncertain about this game then pick up a copy used and you will get a whole week to decide if you want to keep it!

Rated 9 out of 10 by lovi000 Great game for friendly or serious competition.
I've been reading a lot of bad reviews about this game lately. I know a lot of people are used to older Mario Party games, but coming from a bit of a rookie's perspective, I really enjoyed this game. Most of the bad reviews are talking about the poor single player portion of the game. Mario Party isn't SUPPOSED to be a single player game. Before you begin to bash this game, get three friends together (if possible) and set up an hour long game. I can almost guarantee you that you'll have a great time. Plus, for a group on a budget, the DS download play makes the game even more appealing. The only drawback I found is the game can be very centered around luck. HOWEVER, if this isn't what you're looking for, Nintendo made seven different boards. Each of these have varying levels of luck, skill, and dependency on mini-games. It's very possible that this game isn't as good as the others may be, but viewing it correctly (as it's own game) this game is worth the money.

Mario party island tour will be coming out on november 22, and it looks like it's going to be the sequel to mario party 6, because mario party 6 was all about a cruise while this game could be the island that they're going to after the cruise. mario, luigi, toad, yoshi, princess peach, waluigi, and more are all playable and the boards will be a town that looks like toad town from paper mario, a grassland that looks like toad road, a board that looks like world 6 of new super mario bros wii, and one with a super mario galaxy space theme. there are 81 minigames available, and one of them involves wrapping a rope around goombas, and another one where you race against the others in a water race minigame. and so far this game looks great, but what island are they talking about in the title, isle delfino?, the island that they were going to in mario party 6?. well, we will all find out when it comes out.

Rated 0 out of 10 by rockstar321 Mario's taking his party to 3D.
mario party 3DS is an upcoming title for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the thirteenth in the main series (seventeenth in Japan) in the Mario Party series and the third installment for a handheld console, it will be coming out in November 2013 for north America and Europe.and in Winter 2012 for japan. anyway, on to the gameplay, Not much is shown about the gameplay at the moment, but it seems that this Mario Party game uses the traditional independent four player gameplay as opposed to Mario Party 9, except players still toss a six-sided dice block instead of a dice block numbered one to ten. However, the Spaces appear similar in function to those from Mario Party 9. It is also shown that the players can use special cards to hinder their opponents, similar to Orbs from previous Mario Party installments. There are 81 minigames confirmed. so far that's all that's known, it looks great,

Rated 3 out of 10 by IAMERROR Poor Design Shames the Series
Island Tour is the latest in a string of recent disappointments in the Mario Party series. While one would think that the 3DS could save the series with its high graphical quality, multiple controls, and online capabilities, that just isn't so. The only multi-player is single-card wireless, utilizing the 3DS's RAM for other players. The mini-games use gimmicky controls with the gyroscope, microphone, and stylus, resulting in some of them being difficult at best and unbeatable at worst. The AI tends to get exactly the number they always on dice rolls, and in one instance, the game skipped a player's turn to give the AI the chance to win the board. This game is yet another stain on the Mario Party series.

Rated 5 out of 10 by Mariofan97 New ideas equal boring new gameplay
I have always been a fan of the Mario Party series with it's classic run around boards getting coins and buying stars to see who can get the most in the end. Things changed with Mario Party 9 and while lots of people didn't like Mario Party 9, I loved it. Mario Party Island Tour on the other hand is a different story. Every board is different and most of them are boring to play. Another complaint is the lack of online play, there is none. Solo mode is not as creative as past Mario Party games and while some of the minigames were fun, Mario Party 9 still has the best Minigames. If you really want a portable Mario Party game, save your money and get Mario Party DS cause that's more fun. Lets just hope that if they make Mario Party U it'll go back to what the series is known for and not try to experiment yet again

Rated 8 out of 10 by HiddenPowerDark Very Strangely Underrated.
Mario Party has always been a game I appreciate. Its nearly always fun, with a few exceptions. This game is fun, portable, and felt original. The gyro games are really the only problem, as I faced occasional "sticky" controls, but that may have been my 3DS. What's great is your friends don't need a copy of it for multiplayer, as it has a fully functional 3DS Download Play support. Its odd when viewing reviews that say its boring or unoriginal. The visuals are great and colorful, the sound is comedic and fitting. The gameplay, as said before, is mostly smooth, with gyro being sticky at times. This is one game, I highly recommend to pick up. Overral, Mario Party: Island Tour is a fun game, that has a multiplayer that doesn't get old.
