Unfortunately, my idea of what the "6 new stories" were going to be, was wrong. These new stories are separate from the main story and are, (from what I gathered), very short snippets on the ideologies the 6 men have. In the main menu there is an "extras" tab, where the 2 options are "memories" and the "photo booth." Clicking on "memories" brings you to pictures of the characters and when you click on one of the names, that character's side story plays. Honestly, I only listened one of them (I was kind of disappointed that the new side stories weren't in the main story and I took a break), so maybe the other stories are longer. So the bottom line is the game is exactly like Demon of the Fleeting Blossom with a few small extras. But I'm still glad I bought the game to support the franchise. ...I wish the game description was more specific on where the new stories were going to be.
Rated 0 out of 10 by SamB Yay! Another Hakuoki Game!
I first played Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom for the PSP and absolutely loved it! The stories are so adorable, they'll make anybody feel warm and fuzzy (or sad at times). Supposedly, Memories of the Shinsengumi is basically the same as Demon of the Fleeting blossom, but with extra stories for each of the 6 characters you choose to be with. Whether they're short or long I can't wait for the game! Even if you aren't much of a sucker for romance, the game is based on Japan in the 1860's: so it's also quite historical too! I would gladly by the game again even if the 3DS game was exactly the same as the PSP game, I loved it so much! Hopefully, if sales are good, Aksys Games will localize more Hakuoki games.
