Product Details:

Fire Emblem Awakening offers a unique blend of in-battle strategy, vast character customization, and lush 3D cinematic graphics that appeal to a wide range of gamers. In this game, you'll join Chrom, brother to Ylisse's empress and commander of its forces, in a fantasy world teetering on the brink of war. It's your duty to guide a team of Ylisse's finest soldiers--knights, mages, archers, and more--against the marauding Plegian bandits. To succeed, you will need to carefully choose the units you take into battle. As you lead your team through battles across maps that span entire kingdoms, your army will grow. Some characters are willing to join you quickly, while others may need more persuasion. Each character earns experience in battle, leveling up and gaining strength and abilities as they do so. It's up to you to guide their moves, choose their weapons, and direct their attacks.

Story

The world is ruled by the Divine Dragon Naga, with a fondness for humans, and the Fell Dragon, Grima, destroyer of humans.

Prince Chrom of the Halidom of Ylisse and the Shepherds, his personal militia, find you collapsed without memory. They help you to your feet, so you join them on their journey.

The Risen, undead soldiers of unknown origin are plaguing the land. A mysterious warrior wields a second treasured Falchion, which should not even exist.

The neighboring theocracy of Plegia is populated by worshippers of the wicked dragon. Are these troubling events connected somehow?

As you fight alongside Chrom and his Shepherds, you are pulled into a major conflict that will change the world forever.

Gameplay

Lead Your Warriors Into Battle

Move your units along a grid-shaped battlefield and devise the perfect plan of attack. You'll need to account for terrain, weapons, and warrior classes. Even the personal bond between allies can sway the tide of battle. Every decision countsand any one of them can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Strengthen Your Bond With Allies

The Support feature lets two allies standing next to each other fight together as a team, strengthening their bond as they converse and build a relationship on the battlefield. This allows for enhanced abilities in a single turnand the more they converse, the greater the enhancements.

Double Up For The Battle

Selecting Pair Up when next to an ally puts one unit in the same square as another, into rear guard position. This pair will then move together throughout the entire battle. While the rear guard unit cannot attack, his or her presence increases the front unit's stats, and the two units can switch positions during battle.

Train The Ultimate Warrior

As you explore the World map, you'll come across a variety of foes who are not connected to the main story. Fight these enemies to level up, change classes, and improve your characters' overall skills quickly. Since battles do not affect your primary quest, you can return to them again and again, building up your abilities and creating the ultimate battle-hardened warrior.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tied for my favorite game ever Now, you see, I'm picky about my games and the games that are pure fun are always remembered. The games with the most riveting story, so many lovable characters ready to help you on you're journey, the coolest strategy rpg music and the most replayability I've ever seen (second only to smash) are definitely kept on the shelf. this game starts off with you creating yourself based on the character robin. Robin wakes up in a field met by Chrom, the Prince of the Halidom of Ylisse, with his group of soldiers that defend it with their lives. after this is the first battle in the game. It is a little training fight with easy targets. Because I was a newbie to Fire Emblem. It is very easy to pick up once you get the hang of it. And i have to tell you I loved the music in every single place. it felt so epic being the tactician of the shepherds about to save Ylisse while in the shop. The characters all can be super strong. It isn't like certain characters are stronger than others. Personally, MIriel was my favorite. The cutscenes between each event are beautifully rendered and sometimes it looks like I'm watching an anime And the rest of the games has great graphics. The characters in this games are so believable even without much voice acting and its so easy to get consumed into the story like you were really there being that great leader in battle! And the bosses (Especially the final boss) is so good leading up to it has such good atmosphere (play this level with music on) and you really feel like you're in danger and you're decisions matter. Similar to FEA, Xenoblade Chronicles has most of what I described and it is my other favorite game of all time. Oh and one last thing Both games share... I generally feel happy while playing these games. I don't know if its the music or the characters, but it brings me joy. So there you have it. Buy this game if you like strategy or want to try something new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the rest of the series. I'm still enjoying this game since it came out. Like all Fire Emblem games the story, art, and gameplay is amazing. It bring back memories of the old games and you can even get some of the old characters. The DLC are expensive but funny. The DLC are not worth it and I hate that they added them and made them so expensive. This company wants to take more money away from you, look at fate three games and the many DLC that are expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first FE love I stumbled onto FE: Awakening and it totally captivated me from the get go. I found it so engrossing I immediately hunted down copies of Path to Radiance and Radiant Dawn. This remains my favorite in the series. The mixture of RPG story line and strategy create a compelling game-play experience. The unit support feature that allows for offspring units alone is enough to keep you replaying the game to try out different combinations. The soundtrack is nice, the cut scenes are infinitely watchable and the main character (not your avatar) is pretty dreamy! This is a great gateway game to the FE series and is wonderful to play before or after trying out the newer Fates trilogy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Game I loved this game. I just can't stop playing it and thinking of different ways I could play the battles. I'm so excited for the next game in the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spellbinding!! Awesome game with tons of content , great game play and graphics. The characters are deep and all have there own unique persona. The story is spellbinding as are the battles. I can say this is the perfect handheld for a hardcore gamer. It does not get much better than this one on the 3ds!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire Emblem Awakening is a stunning, must buy game Fire Emblem Awakening is not only the best Fire Emblem game, but is the best overall ads game of all time. There is literally nothing bad about this game. The gameplay is really addicting and fun, the graphics are gorgeous, and the story is great too. Probably one of my favorite new additions to the game were the character relationships. It may not sound like a stunning part of the game, but trust me, when you play it, you'll see. I recommend this game to anyone who plays a lot of JRPGs, and Fire Emblem fans, both new and old.
