Product Details:

Launch S.T.E.A.M., an elite team of steam-powered special-forces soldiers, to save the world from an alien menace. In this new blend of action and strategy, your commandos use steam power stored in special backpacks to move into position and fire an arsenal of distinct weapons. Pick your team members and load out, then use strategy to decide the best way to approach this steampunk-inspired battlefield.

  • Experience a new, steampunk-inspired turn-based action strategy game from Intelligent Systems, the company behind classics like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem.
  • Outflank and outshoot the enemy in a fully 3D battlefield. To defeat aliens, you have to take cover, set up ambushes and unleash crossfires and counter-attacks.
  • An unexpected cast of characters leaps to life in stylized 3D graphics and comic-book-style cinematics.
  • Harness the power of steam, which plays a vital role to power the world, including powering movement and weapon use. Managing steam reserves is key to strategy.
  • Battle through alien-infested maps using a four-member team comprised of diverse characters that have unique abilities and weapons.

amiibo in Code Name STEAM:

  • Tap any Fire Emblem character from the Super Smash Bros. series of amiibo to the New Nintendo 3DS XL system to add them to your team and play as them in battle!
  • Each character adds a new dimension to gameplay by wielding weaponry pulled straight from the Fire Emblem series - like Marth's sacred sword, the Falchion, or Ike's blessed blade, Ragnell.
  • If they fall in battle, amiibo characters must be tapped again in order to add them back to your team.
  • Compatible with the following amiibo figures: Marth, Ike, Robin, Lucina
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Underrated. A great game that is being overlooked for not being easy to pick up and play. You need to dedicate this game time to understand it properly. Not because it's slow, but because the way it plays offers many possibilities and you have a lot to experiment with the different agents and weapons combinations you can do with each stage until you find what's better for your style. This is probably not for the Angry Birds-type of players. The soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in years and the Fire Emblem characters are more than welcome for their sheer awesomeness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Code Name A.W.E.S.O.M.E Code Name Steam is a great strategy/action game! At first I underestimated the game because I wasn't a fan of big strategy based games but when I played it for the 1st time I knew this was in my top 3 3ds games of all time. I also really like the amiibo in this game (#can't wait for robin amiibo)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but disappointing The way the game was advertised in Nintendo Direct, it was going to be the 1st game to fully utilize the New 3DS Models. However it fails to do this in a lot of ways. It has an interesting campaign with awesome characters. The amiibo were pretty interesting additions. However the controls were a joke. The C Stick does the same thing as the A, B, X, and Y buttons. And the New 3DS 3D stability isn't as stable as advertised. All in all its a good game but if you're expecting it to utilize the new features of the New 3DS then prepare to be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Underrated Very underrated game. I tried the demo, and found it interesting. I also like the fact that you can use fire emblem amiibos in this game. This game is perfect for people who enjoy action shooter and strategic gameplay. But this game is not for everyone, try the demo first.
