Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 2017 ds It's a date that plays 3ds games. I call it the 2017 ds because it has the most simmler features to a ds. I should call it the 2017 dsi because it play dsi games not ds games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from looks like it could be a very good system the only question i have is Can you download SNES games from the Nintendo e-shop? If it does i will buy it for sure..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ignore the negative reviews I think a lot of the negative reviewers are just trolls. Also, there is something else to think about. This unit has a better, more durable design coupled with more processing power only found in the "new" 3ds models so you can play snes games and "new" 3ds only games. If you had an original model or regular XL model, you couldn't do that. So it's not just a 3ds without 3d like the last one. And if you want Black Friday prices, wait til Black Friday! It will probably be $89.99.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best of both, but the price! I think it's a cool idea because now there seems to be one of every possible matchup between 3d and non 3D. Only problem is the price. black Friday new 3ds sold for $99 and that included all of the features of a new 3ds xl except the size (which most people seem to prefer the smaller sizes). I think a good price point would've been $129.99; not too pricey and competes with others who are currently trying to sell their new 3ds xl. The only difference between these new 2ds xl and new 3ds xl is the 3d capability, and Im sure most games were played in 2d most of the time anyways. Bottom line: should you get it if you've never owned a 3ds*? Definitely yes as this would currently be the lowest price for a brand new handheld. Should you get it if you currently own a new 3ds? Probably not as you can already turn off 3D making it a 2ds. *if you do own one of the older models of the 3ds, I would still consider upgrading to a new 3ds as it offers faster load up and response times, built in amino support, and shoulder buttons with c stick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy Nintendo announced this! Ok so my friend usually sends me things that he claims are real but they really are not. i was VERY skeptical when he said there was a new 2ds xl being announced from Nintendo. sure enough i looked it up and there it was from Nintendo! i love how this time the ds will actually fold instead of being an oddly shaped plastic brick. im definetley going to pre order this! Good job Nintendo!!
