I bought the Circle Pad Pro with Resident Evil Revelations, and it is worth every penny. The Circle Pad Pro gives you all the controls of an Xbox 360, minus the LS/RS when you click the analogs. When playing Resident Evil Revelations, the controls are a lot smoother, for instance, you can walk around with your gun readied, which you can't do without the extra circle pad. The Circle Pad Pro slides on, uses its own AAA battery, uses a wireless link, and is easy to remove. The one bad thing about it is I had to remove my Nyko add-on battery, but i am overall satisfied. Keep in mind MGS Snake Eater 3D, Kingdom Hearts DreamDropDistance, and Call of Duty 9 will most certainly all require the Circle Pad Pro, and for $20, it is definitely worth it.

Ok so I was definitely apprehensive at first to buy this, because I usually do not like additions to systems because they are bulky and do not feel right. But when I got this it felt right and my hands do not cramp after using the 3DS for hours. A GREAT ADDITION, I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE :)

I can't imagine what I would do without this nifty joystick. It amazed me that it's connected through the IR port on the back of the Nintendo 3DS. I have also dropped it a few times and it hasn't scratched at all. I'll admit it might seem a little bulky but it makes your 3DS appear like an arcade system. It makes me confident mowing down the evil-baddies in Resident Evil Revelations. It should be listed as a requirement to kick butt on the back of the RE case. Can't wait to kick butt with it in Metal Gear and Kid Icarus!

Wow, after playing RE:R with the CPP, I can't see myself going back to any upcoming 3rd Person Shooter without it. Adds great comfort to the 3DS. The additional shoulder buttons and analog replicate a console controller. The 3DS sits snugly inside the CPP and won't fall out despite how much I shake it. It's even mentioned in the manual the battery life is 400+ hours.

As mentioned before you'll have to remove the 3DS to change the game cards & to switch wireless on/off (not too bad since it's not very difficult to remove despite being held in securely).

You know what, I see a lot of people talking trash about this thing but all of their trash talk is speculative. Until you actually go out and buy this and use it with a great game like the new Resident Evil then shut up. This thing works phenomenally. Having the extra triggers and analog stick really helps. I'm not crazy about it being 20 bucks, or that it needs a separate battery. But for what it does it does it exceptionally.

After only playing with the Circle Pad Pro for a few minutes on the Resident Evil: Revelations Demo, I can say that this is an amazing product. The additional slider handles the same as the original 3DS slider (maybe mine isn't as worn out, as I heard the difference in resistance can be an issue). The 3DS fits snuggly into the device and has no play whatsoever when installed. The Circle Pad also adds a new level of comfort to the system, as it gives a more console controller feel than anything. My one complaint is that you can't switch games when the Circle Pad is installed, as they blocked off the cart slot. All in all though I would say buy this if you plan on purchasing games with compatibility for it, you won't regret it.

In case you were wondering, here's how it works... the 3DS sits in the holder and is held in by rubber stops... there's an IR sensor at the top that lines up with the IR sensor on the 3DS. The circle pad pro uses a AAA battery (can't speak to how well battery life is).

Its adds a ZR and ZL button as well as the right stick... also has an R button that replaces the normal R since it's blocked while in the holder.

Nintendo also includes a wrist strap in case the 3DS gets knocked out so that the 3DS doesn't go crashing to the ground...

The grips were fairly comfortable and you can reach all the buttons. Played RE: Revelations with it for a while and it works well. The right stick doesn't seem as sensitive in small movements as the normal left stick does, but gets the job done.

The only real complaints I have are that it decreases the portability of the 3DS. Doesn't fit well in pockets and no cases exist yet for the 3DS with circle pad pro. So you pretty much have to throw it into a bag to carry. The design also blocks access to the game slot and stylus, so you'll be popping the 3DS out often to change games, or will have a carry an extra stylus.
