Who can play in the tournament?

The GameStop UFC Undisputed 2010 Ultimate Fighter tournament is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 13 years of age and older at time of entry.

* Please note that a parent or legal guardian cannot give permission to anyone younger than 13 years old to play. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are over 17 years old, but considered a minor in your state of residence, you must have a parent or legal guardian sign and submit all documents on your behalf. Failure to complete and/or submit any required documentation, including but not limited to a Release of Liability, as required by Sponsor or the onsite GTD may result in disqualification.

What time is the tournament?

The tournaments are scheduled to start at 2pm, but please call the store first to confirm. To find the tournament location nearest you please click on the “Store Locations” link.

How can I play in the round one tournament?

Contestants must sign in for the tournament on the Official Tournament Sign-up Sheet (The sign up sheet is located at the tournament store). To find the tournament location nearest you please click on the “Store Locations” link. The tournament is capped at 32 or 64 contestants per location (see store for details). If a store already has a full sign-up sheet, you may sign up as an alternate in the eventuality a contestant fails to show or a contestant does not meet the Tournament’s eligibility requirements. Or you can visit another location that is hosting a tournament.

You MUST be 13 or older at time of entry to participate in this tournament because it is a T rated game, NO EXCEPTIONS. (Parent/guardian consent may not be used for players under the age of 13 years of age).

What is the prizing for the tournament?

What is a winner certificate and what happens if I did not get one?

A winner certificate indicates that you won the tournament and has the information you need to register to win the additional prizes (UFC replica championship belt and Xbox 360 Elite). You MUST have this certificate as it has a unique code which identifies you as a store tournament winner and allows you to register to win. If you did not receive a winner certificate after winning please contact the store where you won the tournament.

What are the tournament game play rules?

  • The tournament will be played on the Xbox 360.
  • Players must use the controllers that are provided by the store.
  • No memory cards or third party memory devices can be used by contestants.
  • Tournament will be organized into a bracket-style single elimination format.
  • Contestants will be paired off randomly for the opening match. If there are an odd number of contestants in the opening match,the GameStop Tournament staff will randomly determine the contestant who will receive the opening match bye.
  • Venue will be randomly selected by game.
  • Players will play on a split–screen (unless notified otherwise).
  • Each contestant will use any available fighter and play against another contestant.
  • Any action designed to disrupt the opposing player is prohibited.
  • In the event of an outage of power, accidental unplugging, system freeze or some other event not in either player's control that would not allow the participants to finish the game, the game will be reset and started from the beginning.
  • Any contestant that willfully turns off or disconnects system, modifies settings, or manipulates outcome will be disqualified.
  • The game settings are the following:
  • From the Main Menu, select “Exhibition” and choose the following settings:
    • a. Select “Red Corner” or “Blue Corner.” Players should be playing another contest participant, not the Game AI.
    • b. Select “Heavyweight” as the weight class.
    • c. Select Rounds “3.” (2.5 minute rounds).
    • d. Select Difficulty “Experienced.”
  • Once in Fighter Selection Screen each player must select a fighter.
  • Select the random box for “Stage” (Arena) and a “Referee.”
  • Players Fight. Player Victory is achieved by: Knockout, Technical Knockout (referee stoppage), Doctor Stoppage (from cuts), or Judges Decision. If a player chooses to “Give Up” the opposing player registers a victory.
  • If the game ends in a draw, the game will be replayed.
  • GameStop Tournament Director and/or GameStop employees have the final ruling regarding any mediation of the tournament.
