What time is the tournament?

The tournaments are scheduled to start at 10pm, but please call the store first to confirm. To find the location nearest you that is sponsoring the tournament please click on the link "Store Locations".

How can I play in the tournament?

Contestants must sign in for the tournament on the Official Tournament Sign Up Sheet. (The sign up sheet is located at the store. To find the location nearest you that is sponsoring the tournament please click on the link "Store Locations". The tournament is capped at 32 contestants per location. If a store already has 32 contestants sign up, you may sign up as an alternate in the eventuality a contestant fails to show or a contestant does not meet the Tournament's eligibility requirements. Or you can visit another location that is hosting a tournament.

What is the prizing for the tournament?

Tournament Winner (one winner per location) - NCAA Football 10 T-Shirt and XBOX 360 Faceplate.

What is a winner certificate and what happens if I did not get one?

A winner certificate indicates that you won the tournament and is an award to show your accomplishment. If you did not receive a winner certificate after winning please contact the store that you played at.

What are the tournament game play rules?
  • The tournament will be played on NCAA Football 2010 for the Xbox 360.
  • Contestants must use the controllers that are provided by the store.
  • No memory cards or third party memory devices can be used by contestants.
  • Tournament will be organized into a bracket-style single elimination format.
  • Contestants will be paired off randomly for the opening match. If there are an odd number of contestants in the opening match, the GameStop employee will randomly determine the contestant who will receive the opening match bye.
  • Players may select any NCAA college team from current year.
  • Players may select any standard playbooks.
  • Players must choose different teams (coin flip decides if both players want same team).
  • No "audibles" will be allowed to be programmed.
  • Players are allowed 1 pause per half for substitutions, etc.
  • The game mode is the following:
    1. Quarters: 4
    2. Quarter time: 2 min (Final 4 contestants will play 3 minute quarters)
    3. Skill: All American
    4. Players: 2
    5. Field: Clear with no wind
  • Home team is determined by a coin flip prior to team selection.
  • The winner of each game will be determined by final score and will move on to the next game. (In the event of a tie, overtime will continue until a winner is determined)
  • GameStop Tournament Director and/or GameStop employees have the final ruling regarding any mediation of the tournament.
