THE GAMESTOP HALO REACH TOURNAMENT (“TOURNAMENT”) IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE 17 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY (“CONTESTANT”) AND WHO HAVE XBOX 360, HALO REACH FOR XBOX 360 AND XBOX LIVE SUBSCRIPTION PRIOR TO 9/24/10, BUT THAT DOES NOT EXPIRE PRIOR TO 11/8/10. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED, RESTRICTED OR TAXED BY LAW.

Tournament participants MUST be age 17 or older to compete. A parent or legal guardian’s consent will NOT be accepted for anyone under 17 years old.

By entering, all Contestants accept and agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules, the decisions of the Sponsor and/or GTD which are final and binding and to be contacted by Sponsor or its agents by email, mail and/or telephone regarding this Tournament.

ELIGIBILITY:

Employees of: GameStop, Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, representatives, Microsoft (“prize provider), advertising, promotion and publicity agencies ("Sponsor and its agents") and all other companies involved in the development and execution of this Tournament (“Release Parties”) and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible to play or win. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

THIS TOURNAMENT CONSISTS OF TWO (2) CHALLENGES: A 1V1 CHALLENGE AND A 4V4 CHALLENGE. A CONTESTANT WHO IS DECLARED AS A STORE WINNER CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN THE 4V4 CHALLENGE

Contestants will compete against each other playing Halo Reach. All rounds in this Tournament will be played on Xbox 360 interactive or a used Xbox 360 system.

CHALLENGE #1 will be 1V1 Competition in which, Contestants will have the opportunity to play Round 1 in-store and continue playing at GGL.com. All online competitions will be conducted according to the Game rules/polices found at GGL.com. During Round 2, all Finalists will compete against each other at a live event as determined by Sponsor.

ROUND 1 IN-STORE 1V1 COMPETITION:

To enter Round 1 in-store Tournament, visit a participating GameStop location on or before 9/24/10. The tournament will be capped at thirty two (32) Contestants for the first round per location. If more than thirty two (32) Contestants show up to compete at a particular location, up-to- sixty four (64) Contestants may be allowed to compete at a participating GameStop location. The amount of Contestants competing during the Round 1 in-store competition is at the sole discretion of each participating GameStop location. To obtain the address for a particular Tournament location, visit www.gamestop.com/haloreach. All Contestants must sign-in with the onsite GTD at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of Tournament. Contestants who are not signed-in at least thirty (30) minutes prior to play may be eliminated from the Tournament in the GTD’s sole discretion. On the day of Round 1, complete an official sign up sheet if you have not signed up prior to the Tournament date, or if you are a minor (defined as under 19 years of age in Alabama and Nebraska, under 21 in Mississippi and under 18 years of age in all other states and the District of Columbia), a parent or legal guardian will be required to complete and sign the official sign up sheet. After signing-in, the GTD will call your name when it is your time to compete in Round 1. Materials to participate in-store will be provided by the Sponsor. Participants will not be permitted to use their own materials. When your name is called, you will be given one (1) opportunity to compete against another Contestant at that location. A Store Winner may use his/her existing username or may create a new one if he/she does not have an existing one. The use of a username is limited to one per Contestant for the duration of this Tournament.

The onsite GameStop Tournament Director (“GTD”) will present game play instructions, any mandatory game play settings, and Game Controller directions during the introduction prior to commencement of each Round. Regardless of any Round, Contestants must use Game Controllers provided at the participating GameStop location or Tournament location. A Contestant cannot use his or her own Game Controllers. Contestants are responsible for understanding the Game Controllers and instructions. Pairing of Contestants is at the sole discretion of the GTD. The GTD will signal to initiate all play. Both Contestants must press start to begin the match. In each Round, each Contestant will have limited time to eliminate his/her opponent (refer to each Round for time limitations).

The following Tournament Game Play practices apply: Single elimination; no memory cards or personal controllers. Settings available at participating GameStop locations and at: www.gamestop.com/haloreach. Settings are subject to change and are at the GTD’s sole discretion. Each Round 1 In-store Contestant will be paired with another Round 1 Contestant in a five (5) minute match. The Contestant at the end of each match with the most kills will advance to the next round of the bracket. The winner of each Round 1 match will then compete against another Contestant until the top scoring Round 1 In-store Contestant remains who will have the opportunity to continue playing in Round 1 online portion of the Tournament (“In-store Winners). A Contestant who did not qualify as a Store Winner may register to compete in Round 1 of the online 4V4 Tournament providing that he/she registers by 10:59 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on 10/19/10 and meet the requirements of the 4V4 Tournament. A Store Winner (subject to verification) may not participate in Round 1 of the 4V4 online Tournament. However s/he will be able to continue playing the online portion of the Round 1 In-store Winner competition for all Store Winners providing s/he follows the instruction provided below.

All top scoring Round 1 Store Winners will be determined on 9/24/10. Each Store Winner will be responsible for registering online including providing his/her username and unique code in order to participate online in a ladder style competition Store Winners will be provided with a winner’s certificate which will have a unique code. Unique code can only be used once and should not be shared with other people. If a Store Winner does not receive a winner’s certificate after being declared a Store Winner, s/he is responsible for contacting the GTD at the GameStop location [where s/he played and won] to obtain his or her winner’s certificate. A Store Winner may not be able to compete in the remaining portion of Round 1 without the winner’s certificate. On or around 9/30/10, each Store Winner will be contacted at the email s/he provided during the registration process with entry details needed to participate in the Store Winner online competition. Sponsor will have no further obligation to any Store Winner who fails to adhere to such stipulation. Store Winners will need to visit www.ggl.com/gamestop by 10:59 am ET on 10/10/10 to register their contact information and the unique code to participate in the online ladder style elimination competition.

The online competition portion of Round 1 for Store Winners will commence at approximately 11:01 am ET on 10/11/10 and conclude at 11:59 pm ET on 11/7/10. Once the online portion of Round 1 is in process, a Store Winner who has not registered by 11:59 PM ET on 10/10/10 may not enter/compete.

Store Winner online competition is subject to all policies located at GGL.com. The top eight (8) Contestants from the In-store 1V1 online competition (based on accumulative scoring and subject to Sponsor’s verification), as of 12:01am local time on 11/7/10 (or when the top eight (8) scoring Contestants are determined, whichever is sooner) will automatically advance to Round 2 of the Tournament as Finalists.
