Q & A

Q: What personal healthy lifestyle tips do you suggest for women in your age group?

This is the time when you can enjoy rich foods. But just remember, everything in moderation!

Q: Clearly, you believe in moderation!

Thanks! In your 20s, your metabolism is still quite fast, therefore you can stick to working out only a couple of days a week!

Q: Any disadvantages to being young as they relate to fitness?

Yes, for sure. In your 20s, you feel invincible and think you can eat anything and everything in sight and you still fit into your skinny jeans the next day. You're not realizing that not being as conscious of what you're consuming has long-lasting effects.

Q: What's your motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

Probably the stamina you get from working out that allows me to get through the day, especially a 15-hour workday on set!

Q: What's your workout regimen? Do you have a trainer?

I don't have a trainer right now, but the machines at the gym are perfect for working out on your own: treadmill, stair machine and resistance. You can adjust levels of difficulty and speed and work at your own comfort level. Plus there are tons of "how-to" fitness DVD's that are great, especially yoga and Pilates tutorials.

Q: Everybody has favorite foods: what are your favorite power snacks?

Either almonds, a Granny Smith apple, or a fudge graham Zone bar.

Q: How about favorite healthy food?

I love veggies, especially broccoli!

Q: What's your favorite indulgence food?

Cheese – as we all know, cheddar makes everything better!

Q: How about favorite iPod tunes for working out?

I like a mix of up-tempo and down-tempo catchy beats to keep the workout at a non-exhausting but strong pace!
