You really gotta love Wolverine to enjoy this one
This game wasnt bad, but it wasnt as fun as some might think. The voicework by Mark Hamill as Wolverine is done very well and the graphics arnt bad either. However the story was a bit lacking. Bascially he had to get a virus out of his system or else it would kill him in about two days. Now I dont know how he did all that stuff in the course of 2 days, but wow. The gamplay is ok with a few flaws here and there. Every now and then your moves wouldnt hit the target or have a knockback effect it should. The levels were stomtimes drawn out and the check points for when you died where spaced far apart. There is some stealth combat and its fun, but can be frustrating at times. The boss fights are a bit drawn out at times and you usually have to beat them in the oddest ways. Such as throwing Sabertooth into fire or explosives, but the catch is you have to get behind him and grapple him then direct him towards the explosive. He usually catches on and hits you so you cant grapple him and when you do 7 out of 10 times you arnt facing the right direction and itll take about 2 to 3 trys to actually get him to hit the explosive. The game wont always tell you how to beat a boss so you might be expirementing for awhile. You get use Wolverine's healing ability, but only when your claws are retracted and it takes forever to actually heal to a point you can go back into a fight with. The cool thing about the game though is that you are Wolverine and you can find comic books around the levels that will give you new outfits that you can wear in all the levels. The combos are pretty cool in the game, but are somtimes hard to aim at targets. Overall it wasnt a terrible game, but I would only recommend it to people who really love Wolverine. This is a good buy for the price its at, but dont expect a masterpiece.
