Call Nick Kang now! 1-866-EOD-KANG True Crime: Streets of L.A. combines the deepest fighting, shooting and driving elements ever seen in one game. Players take the role of Nick Kang, a no-holds-barred undercover operative fighting to bring down the crime syndicates of L.A. in driving missions, gunfights and martial arts showdowns across hundreds of square miles of the city. For maximum replayability, an unpredictable, branching storyline gives players the freedom to complete missions as they choose - however, they also have to face the consequences of those choices for better or worse. Successes or failures lead to entirely different game experiences, unveiling multiple storylines with no repeated missions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's okay... To start this review off, let me just say that even though this is like grand theft auto, in some ways, it really isn't. well, yeah, you can free roam, like in gta, but everything else is just totally different. ok, here comes the review. to start, i thought this game was 50/50 to be honest, i didn't really like the cutscenes because i think they just rushed them alot, same with the missions, i mean really, do you think you can kill a sniper 40 feet away with a pistol? AND the charactor's, don't get me wrong, i liked nick, he was the funnis charactor i have ever seen, heres an example ''okay confucious, but you won't like it after i am donewith you''. lol, but everyone else, rosie, and others. i thought they were just big jerks. the missions were decet, i thought they were thought up poorly and had little detail in them, each mission, honest, is like 2 minutes. and to top that all off, they got the most easiest tasks in them as well. the sound was superb, excellent gun noises, cars, horns, and good variety of music. AND now i won't close this review on a bad note, but you actually can unlock and play as the beloved snoop dogg! so, if you like a mini spin-off of gta, you should totally buy this, peace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent game for gamecube OK, first, this game is NOT gta obviously and you couldn't compare the two games because there both different we cant assume that this game is better or worse than gta its just different gta has more side missions the freedom to do whatever you want is about the same in true crime la, only thing is is your a cop, not a criminal but you can be both in your own way true crime isn't made by rock star and that's perfectly fine true crime has its own style of game-play and is more arcade based and the game-play is just as good as gta but the city life in true crime is kinda bland its not as active as gta but the gun-play makes up for it and you have the ability to slow down game-play when your in action plus the fighting controls are perfect. this is simply a hidden treasure in a very small but accepted way this is a fairly good game there needs to be more features and game modes even side missions!! all in all the game-play isn't boring it has good sound quality and you get to play with snoop doggy dog!
