StarFox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet
Star fox adventures is a hard core game. It's about putting dinosaur planet (later known as Saria )back to gather, bye returning all four spell stones to the forest point temple, and the six kazoa spirits to the kazoa palace. You will be meeting some new charters Prince Tricky, Queen Earth Walker, King Earth Walker,Krastal (who is new) and etc.I 'm not a critic but the last boss for the spell stones is just a button masher.LOOK OUT it's ANDROSS!!!The last boss (yes he's trying to destroy the Laylat system AGAIN and this is not a spooler)and what do you know Falco is back yes!!!And the end will have you surprised?! And get Assault after adventures after fox the seekual and then Command you'll want to see the end of Command it's better than adventures trust me.(but i'm not saying that adventures ending is bad it's still REALLY GOOD.)
A game to pull you in
I had never had an interest in the Starfox games until Nintendo pulled this one out of the hat. Once I started playing it, I could not put it down. The story is captivating and the scenery throughout the game is beautiful. The gameplay could be easy at times and very hard at other times as you sat there scratching your head wondering where to go next. I really liked the new twist of weaponry (instead of a gun, he gets a staff) and the exotic sounding music which added to the atmosphere of the game. If you are of a stricter home, the blue female fox may present a problem as she is not very well clothed. My two areas of annoyance were the little dinosaur that follows you everywhere, who at times could get on your nerves, and the fact that I sat through the game trying to find the animated blood the game is supposedly rated for (still wondering about that one). Otherwise this is a great game to add to your collection and one that you will want to play over and over again.
Link meets Starfox...
This game is actually pretty good! So much in fact, that I might actually buy it again! Although the story and gameplay clearly matches that as the Legend of Zelda series, it is pretty good, and the graphics are awesome compared to the other Gamecube games. This games is actually quite enjoyable and is one of those games that you'll play again after you're done with it. The story is good, but it would have been better if the Arwing was more throughly used than just getting to other parts of the planet. The graphics are surprisingly beautiful, and really make the game stand out. I also liked the introduction of new characters, like the troublesome but helpful prince, Tricky, and of course, the mysterious and beautiful blue fox, Krystal. The ending was great, and I will buy it again. I would definitely recommend it to others who like Starfox, or a Zelda-like game.
Upon this game I first owned this when I was 4 or 5. 10 years later I still love the game even though I can play through most parts of the game without failure. For the graphics at its time and even today are amazing and the Character are funny and likeable such as the little dinosaur that follows you everywhere. The sounds where awesome, but change sometimes in cut scenes or you here the same one in cut scenes. Game play was amazing! Emphases on the word amazing! The combat was nice and smooth and animations where great. The story did have some moments where you felt worried or wondering what will happen next especially near the end. The game is good enough to start over and play again. The what I think they made an open world was nice, I wish you could return to some places again. Overall this game is perfect in my opinion and great for really any gamer out there.
Brilliant! Please make another!
I first played this game when I was eight, and now eight years later I am still deeply in love with this game and had to speak up to defend it. First off, I absolutley love this game to pieces, when I was younger I accidently cracked the disc and eventually lost it. Just recently I bought it because I finally gave up on finding my original copy and happened to find a used copy. I won the game back when I was younger, with the help of my mom who also loves this game, and just now won it for the second time. The graphics are honestly beautiful, better than any Starfox I've ever seen. The characters are lovable and unforgetable. Some may say that this is a Zelda style game, which true compared to the original style, it is much more like Zelda than the originals, but I assure those who dislike Zelda that this is not true. Just because they added a damsel in distress and they don't let fox use a gun, that does not make it a Zelda game. This is very much different from Zelda games. For those who do love Zelda as much as me, yes it does have small hints thanks to just the simply choice of weapon, but don't get your hopes up about it being just like Zelda, it is as I said before, extremly different. The story line itself to this game may not be packed with many surprises for those who are not easily surprised, but it is simply and interesting at the same time. The music is wonderful throughout the whole game as well. For casual gamers I don't think they would like this game, it has many parts in it that are very hard to beat. So those buying this for children under the age of ten, be ready to lend a hand. I also don't think you should get it for kids who can't read yet, this game does require some reading, so a parent may be called for help several times. I do recommend this game for people ten and up. True I was able to win the game at age eight, but I have a very tolerant mom who actually likes video games. So if you are a parent buying for a younger kid, if you like video games, by all means go on and buy it. Overall, my point is that this game is amazing, you'll want to play it again and again I promise, just as I'm sure I will again eventually.
BUY THIS GAME!
I got this game four years ago, and I'm not tired of it yet. There's only a bit shooting in it. The game is very long and fun. The cover looks stupid, but the game is awesome. Sadly the game is not two player. In this game, your weapon is a staff, that starfox found. You fight these dinosaur creatures. You even get a pet dinosaur that you can command. You can shoot ice, fire, and create an earthquake with your staff. Literally. The game has a lot of action. I think this game should have been rated E10+. If your favorite category is adventure, action, or shooter, there's a great chance you'll like this game. In the game you can drive Arwing, snowmobiles, and other cool stuff. There are a lot of characters in the game. The game is really hard. I needed to get a guide to beat it. I hope you get this game.
One Foxy Game
if you are looking for another game where fox is flying around destroying his enemies in his ship this game will disappoint, but don't let that stop you from purchasing this game. join fox in a far off planet in the Lylat system call Dinosaur Planet (a planet inhabited by dinosaurs, apparently the comet didn't kill them they just decided to get in their space ships and fly to this new planet, who knew) a planet that is being torn apart because the evil General Scales has removed the magical artifacts that keep the planet together in order to seize control.
this game has a very long campaign that will have you hooked from start to finish, but be warned, this game has A LOT of puzzles, more so than action filled fighting, but it is still an incredible game, with a great story that will make you want to finish and restore peace to the planet. while it seems like a kids game it can be pretty challenging at times and leave you a little frustrated but it is worth it to stick it out. however when you beat the game there is no real motivation to play the game again, but it is worth the money you will spend on it for the first play through. with stunning graphics for the gamecube and a rich world and story and plenty of powers for fox this game will have you want to see the epic conclusion (where you will see an old friend of fox's) this game is defiantly a game you want to get if you are a fan of fox or adventure games in general.
Adventures isn't like the other Starfox games, but still a great game.
I had bought this game last year at gamestop because I have heard that is wasn't like the other starfox games and i wanted to see if it is worth it. Honestly, this game is obviously NOT like the other games in the series, in fact it reminds me more of a Zelda game. But truthfully I found this game actually fun to play. It had a good story line. The controls were really easy. One thing I didn't like about this game is it doesn't seem like starfox when there is no blaster, and little time with the arwing. Also you are on one planet that is brocken into pieces and not going around the universe. But Overall If you are a Zelda and Starfox fan this game is a great combination of both, also it is at a very very cheap price so if you do buy it, you'll really have nothing to loose.
Great game but Hard!!
It is a great game to play. I bought the game about 6 months ago. I have won it but it was really challenging. When you are playing the game I would recommend to listen to the people and observe your surroundings. There were some points in the game that I would have wished that I listened to the people more. One thing that was getting on my nerves is that when you are climbing up things it got was really slow. In the game you did not to get your blaster to use as a weapon but instead you got a staff to use. As you went along in the game you would get power ups for the staff so you became stronger. I gave the sound a lower grade because while I played the game the sound would not play but I would hear the music just not the sound of my hitting enemies.
This is my favorite Star Fox game. Now this probaly isn't the case for most of you. True this game has the least flying of the bunch ya ya, but considering this was my first Star Fox game I didn't know what it was all about. Star Fox 64 had a lot of flying, which is good, but Star Fox 64 has somthing that this game doesn't. I can't let you do that Star Fox. Star Wolf. Falco is barely in it. On the bright side you don't have to save anyone. Fox get this guy off me!. I hate you Slippy. Most of the game your using a staff formaly owned by Crystle. You must upgrade this staff to containue. You see the planet Sauria was broken into peices, and you need to put it back together with spell stones and Keazoa Spirits. On your way you meet Tricky who helps you with puzzle solving elements. This is a must have for any adveture and puzzle fan. Star Fox fans. Oh watch out for sharp claws and red eyes.
