Local town officials announce there is nothing to fret. The head of a mysterious new robotics company, Mr. A.I. Golem, vows to get to the bottom of the missing sand. However something's amiss and the kids aren't buying into Golem Inc.'s generosity. It's now up to our sand sleuths to figure out who's stealing the sand from Ocean Shore's beach!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible. This game is terrible. Trying to make a skating game for kids, eh? Bad idea. Mouth movements are great, but animation and other facial animations are terrible. Stunts are horrible, there are no points, and it's impossible to beat the game because it likes to lead you to the same cutscene over and over... and I almost forgot, people like to say this game has humor! Yes, it does have humor... for 3 year olds. This does, however, have the feeling of the cartoon. Bright visuals, funny sayings (not really), and the 3 ways of getting around attempt to make things better. There is no repairing a game that has already been ruined just by being made. I wouldn't recommend this game to anybody.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A decent game, I'll break it down. This is a game that may or may not be for you, it really depends on what you're looking for, so let me give you the quick facts then the details. QUICK FACTS: Good: Average graphics, what you expect Simple controls Good voice acting Actually has a story; abeit a simple one Medium length Bad: Some easy levels, some hard Not as fun extreme sports as Tony Hawk's games THE BREAKDOWN This game is a lot of fun, but only if you don't expect too much from it. Don't let that turn you away from it though, it's still hilarious and somewhat addicting. It's got a lot of interesting levels, with multiple sports and environments, such as rivers, mountains and all the locales from the TV show. That includes the boardwalk, and of course, the Shore Shack. It's also pretty open too, with a pretty free roam being given to the player. To the greater (Ahem, Uber) gamer, this might be a breeze, but you'll actually want to replay it again to see the places and people (Especially Tito, Ray, Mackenzie, Lars, and a few others who add a bit of light humor to the show). Here's a couple highlights- Gameplay: Fun and simple, not too many controls, could better utilize the Gamecube controller. Not that the controls are difficult, the learning curve is about 10 minutes, once you get what the objective is, you pretty much understand the game. A couple hard levels, though, and a couple easy ones too. Good gameplay, fun and varying. The second you master playing a certain sport, you start a new one. Story: Simple find the bad guy through many levels and defeat him. the final showdown is interesting and will take some time. Basically, all the sand on the beach is gone, because some rich guy stole it all. Note that this is also the reason that THQ was able to get away with not putting any surfing in the game, which was a major part of the show. They do however, replace it with lots of other fun sports, pretty much anything that the "Rocket" gang would do. Graphics: They are 3D, typical of a Movie/TV show. Don't expect realistic textures, but they don't hinder gameplay. In fact, they aren't annoying, but simple. You souldn't have much of a problem with them, just look at the screenshots, to know what your're getting. Sound: Authentic-sounding voice acting with jokes that make you occasionally chuckle. The sound is adjusted to the right level, between SFX and voices, so you can always hear what Otto, Twister, Reggie and The Squid are saying. There are some repeated lines though, but not that annoying. Good overall voice acting and sounds of wheels and boards grinding, etc. Overall, it's a fun game, and if you liked the show, you'll love it. If you just want to get your kids a game, it's not too fifficult to just pick up and play. It's a game that after a while you'll want to play it again, just to experience some of the sports you don't see often in games. If you know what kind of game it is, and know what it looks like, then you should find it fun. It's one of the few games in it's TV show genre that I play, and that itself says something. And for a game in the "Under ***" genre, it's a must have for your collection. It's got the variety, humor, and gameplay that will have you coming back to play it a few months after you beat it.
