Rated 10 out of 10 by Mario : ) An Amazing Sequel
This game was an amazing sequel to the action-packed first game. I'll start off with the addition of the new colored pikmin-white and purple. these pikmin became great additions but made the game much more simple for the purples were an elite fighting force and the whites were a destructive poison explosion. Although, the new colors not having their own onions made it a nice larger bit of a challenge. The challenge of this game was okay considering the bosses were tough and it was a LONG game. But I still wish there was a BIT more of a challenge. Example-the purple pikmin could carry ten! Maybe they should only be able to carry five or something. That would be difficult! The graphics were intense for the cameras seemed to adjust easily. This was an amazing plus that I was suprised with considering the quality of Pikmin 1 which had much more grainy picture.

Good: Amazing animation. Controls are easy to learn and to use in this game. A good challenge. Bad: Not really any flaws. Pikmin 2 is probably the best game that you can get for the game cube. It has a storyline that is really easy to understand and the 2 player is good. The new pikmin have amazing skills and the awsome ability to access new spaces. In pikmin 2 you can also be a second person: Luie. With this abillity you can slpit your pikmin into groups to do even more. Unlike pikmin 1, you have an unlimited amount of days to finish the main objective for the game: pay off your dept (10,000 pocos) for your space ship. Including this you have to find alot of treasures that are scattered along the four areas of the game. P.S. I would want to tell you what happens when you pay off your full dept but that would ruin all of the fun!
Rated 10 out of 10 by DKandDK one of the best sequals of all time
In my opinion this is a thousand times better than pikmin. It has a better story line it has more of a variety of pikmin. Two new aditionbs to the story mode of this game really made it great. The addition of the caves, Th caves are cool because it really challenges the player because they have to complete the cave without resupplying pikmin. Also the 3 new kinds of pikmin. White = run fast and could survive poison and poisons beasts when they are eaten. Purple = does extreme damage to enemies when thrown and can carry as much as 10 normal pikmin. Bulbmin= pikmin that look like bulborbs that are only found in caves that you cant take out of caves. Also you have unlimited time to beat the game instead of just 30 days. The addition of 2 player battle mode is cool. Also the challenge mode is cool. GET THIS GAME it is worth 34.99.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Kuinich012 Just as fun as pikmin 1 but not as a chalange
Pikmin 2 was a great game! I swear it was just as good as Pikmin! The only thing that got me was that there was little Chalange due to the fact you had unlimited amount of time. But besides all that Pikmin 2 was a great game. Great story and great way to practice your stratgey skills. I recomond you buying this game it is soooo worth it. Again hats off to you Nintendo for bringing us another great great game!So go your nearest game stop and buy it!Or first buy the first Pikmin game so you know the whole story and you wont see any spoilers if you buy this game first then the first one. But again Hats off to you Nintendo. You have brought fun to are homes once again! And i hope you do just as good with Pikmin 3 and let it be just as fun as Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2!
Rated 10 out of 10 by PsychoticYoshi2009 Way better than Pikmin 1!
This went above and beyond my Pikmin sequel expectations. It's like taking everything about Pikmin 1 and putting them on steroids. The challenge level is perfect. Even if you haven't played Pikmin 1. The controls are as perfect as the first one... only better. The graphics are just one of the 3 problems in the game. They are not very big problems though. The graphics are exactly the same as Pikmin 1. You'd think they would try to improve upon that. The sound is another problem, but not a huge one. The sound is just a sort of loop. But it is hardly audible because of all of the action going on around you. The third and final problem is that the storyline is almost the same. Collect strange items and progress through the game. Except this time, Hocotate Freight is going bankrupt and your boss assigns you to go to the strange planet once again to collect strange, and extremely valueable otherworldly treasures like bottlecaps, gloves, batteries, and much, much more. The Game also introduced the Purple and White Pikmin. Purple Pikmin have more strength value when picking up an item. White Pikmin infect enemies with poison and are immune to poison gasses. All and all. A great game for the Nintendo Gamecube. 10/10 Awesome job!

This game has been my favorite game since 2007. 2007! It was my fourth game ever and still nothing has ever compared to it. It has great gameplay, good graphics, and also very good sound. The thing I like the most is that there is still tons of stuff to do even after you finish the game. All my friends love this game and wish they had a gamecube to play it on. Also there are two new pikmin! The purple and the white, the whites can brave poisen and find things underground, not to mention they are very fast. Purples can lift very heavy things. Also there are lots of perks that you can get that will help you. This game is so good it's worth getting a gamecube just for it.

In Pikmin 2 Captain Olimar of planet Hocotate lands into debt after escaping the Distant Planet in the last game. The president of Olimar's company sends Olimar and an employee named Louie to the Distant Planet in search of treasure to pay of the debt. There are now 2 more kinds of Pikmin. White and Purple Pikmin. In multiplayer mode, Olimar and Louie go against each other to either eliminate the player, the opposing Pikmin, to get 4 yellow marbles back to the Pikmin's onion, or get the opposing player's marble. If you liked Pikmin, you'll definitely like Pikmin 2.
Rated 10 out of 10 by gamefan4564 a work of art
this is one of the best games ever made, and it levels out the bad parts of the first game. there are unlimited days to explore, taking pressure away, the fact that you can control 2 players makes for some challenging puzzles, and the 2 new pikmin types add extra strategy. there is multi player, and that's great to, not to mention the new challenge mode, where you have to collect treasures (not trying to get as many pikmin as possible like the first game) this is addicting and would say the only flaw is yellow pikmin don't carry bomb rocks in this game.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Kinokid Very fun game
well first off in this game you dont have a day limet unlike the first one. It has very nice graphics very colerful and smooth. They also add two new pikmin in the game purple and white but I wont spoil what they can do. theres also a 2-player battle mode witch was VERY fun. I guess my only problem with this game is that it was a little easy for me but I am a very hardcore gamer dont get me wrong there are ALOT of hard parts in this game. In the end its a amazing game and my fav for the GC go to a gamestop and buy it now!
Rated 10 out of 10 by rainbow101 Amazing Game!
This game is amazing! It is one of the most fun games I have ever played! Normally I am not all that into strategy games, but this game is different. You have to utilize the attributes of the different pikmin types in order to defeat enemies and collect treasure. The concept is simple, yet addicting. The pikmin themselves are adorable, and you really do feel bad when they die. The sound is catchy, and the graphics, for the Gamecube, are beautiful and realistic. You won't be disappointed with this game!
