by TheEpicUchiha Good, but it needs more playable characters.
The game is great! I love it, because I am a die hard Naruto fan, but, however it needs many more characters! Only 8 characters! How dissapointing, considiring the fact of how many Naruto characters there are! Gameplay and graphics are okay, though, so I'm giving it a solid 7.

Naruto clash of ninja is the first in this on going series introducing the world of naruto into players hands with the gamecube. This game however is not very impressive. the story line is extremly short, consisting of less then ten matches. Also the game is lacking in the character selection department. Including the two hidden characters, you still only have a total of ten. on the flip side the game does have intertaining features like with survival mode and time attack. the games controls also handle well along with the awesome special moves relating to each characters own special jutsu as seen in the show. How ever the throw in of Rocklee to add to the character line is good in the fact it takes you away from the hidden mist mission and leaves you in excitment for the second game. Overall if your a fan of Naruto this is a must have, but as for a fighting game im sure you can find another fighting game thats better then this one and worth your money.
Rated 5 out of 10 by MilkOfDarkness this game sucks ass
if i were you i will not buy this game. i mean come on the story line is not that good, its horrible. its like 5 minutes just to beat the game. the other naruto games are good but this and some other few games are not that good either. first time i put the game in i thought i'd had a great time playin it. it' horrible and it you only get to play with only a few characters. this game makes naruto look bad. if it had like about 20 characters i will have diffrent thoughts of this game. but who ever thinks that this game is great, they must be at least 10 years old cuz i dont see nothing great about this game. only person i would like to play with is mabe rock lee. haku is good too. and if they make clash of ninja two i would have hope it would be good. a little in the middle cuz i have never played. but playing this and thinking about it makes me not want to play it. im sorry but thats all i have to say.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Naruto needed more or better characters, storyliine, challange, unlockables Naruto Clash Of Ninja
Naruto is a okay but it would not be a game i would play every weekend or month becuase once you've beaten the game you just move to the next one. The first time I got the game I thought it was going to be okay since they just started the Naruto series. This game was really good but I wouldnt play everyday because it would get even boring. I have the Clash of Ninja series except for Naruto Shipudden Clash of Ninja Revolution III and those games were awsome. The animations were good and it made it look like it was really from the show but the storyline was short but they just started the Naruto show. They don't really have that many battles to fight in the storyline. The challange was easy because I flew right threw it. The unlockables were as easy as the as the storyline. The special moves were kind of good it looked like it was also from the show. So I would give the game a 7/10.
Rated 6 out of 10 by Mickee It's OK
I guess Naruto: Clash Of Ninja is OK to play... I wouldn't say that it's excellent, but it's pretty fun for a while. If you're a fan of Naruto, I'm assuming you'd want to buy it, but trust me, you're probably more happy with some of the other Naruto games. This one is not the best, I'll tell you that's a fact. The variety of characters is nice, but I hate how you have to unlock some of them. I'm not a big fan of "unlockable" characters or items. It makes me frustrated. You see, the game is fun for a while, but then, you'll feel like putting it down, and maybe leaving it for a few months. Maybe a year? Or, you could end up selling it or trading it. That's good that they lowered the price... it isn't worth over twenty dollars at all. So I hope you find what you are looking for, and good luck. EB games rocks.
Rated 10 out of 10 by BradTheMutt If your a Naruto fan or a casual gamer
I gave it a 10 because its Naurto. This game is easily beat in a day. The game is terribly short. If you watched the very beginning of the series then you will know the story mode. It doesnt last long. If your a casual gamer who will play it every few months its perfect for you if you are hardcore go somewhere else. I'm gonna buy this for the second time just because I wanna add it to my collection of Naurto games. Its a decent game to play every few months dont play it everyday or you'll hate it because there will be nothing left to do. Considering its the first Naruto game for the system and it was close to when Naruto first came out I'd say its a pretty good game but yeah if you want something "decent" go get the ones for Wii or another company.
Rated 7 out of 10 by Hellspawn Not Naruto's best
This game was fun but it was really short and the only fight that was fairly challenging was the final fight with Zabuza. But this game does have some of the good stuff that Naruto fans like. For example, 2 p. v.s. mode, the shop, and a story mode that goes up to the Land of Waves arc. this game has about 8 or 9 characters. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Zabuza, Haku, and Rock Lee, but there are two very special characters that I won't spoil. this game was injoyable but kind of got a little boring after a while, and after you beat the story mode there's almost nothing left to do so they could have added a mission modeor better yet a survival mode like Clash of Ninja 2 but oh well. this game was cool but like i said not naruto's best game.
Rated 7 out of 10 by Ritzcraka33 Great for fans!
Naruto is a beloved character from the manga series and with this being one of the first in the series it has disopointment with the fact that its character seletion is so short, even with the hidden 9-tails naruto and sharingan kakashi the game only comes out to 10 characters. The story mode is also disappointing in that it can be easily beatin in one sit down. However the game isn't all bad, in that it does bring out the true nature of the world of naruto. The fighting is smooth and versus is great for having a friend over. Overall I would say if your a fan of Naruto it's worth buying used, it's a great play if you have a friend to play the versus the mode with! Happy Mashing!
Rated 3 out of 10 by JackFlash Why Did I Buy This?
I Think This Game Is The Worst Gamecube Game I Have Ever Seen! At First Glance Graphics Are Sound Not The Best But Not Too Bad. But Only 7 Fighters,That And The Fact That The Attacks And Combos Are Almost The Same Makes This The Worst Games I Have Played.PS:Rock Lee Is Way Over Powered And Exetrmely Hard To Beat In Most Cases,His Attacks Are At Least 30% More Powerful.
Rated 5 out of 10 by lobothesacred3 Clash of Ninja
The game covers the events after the fight with Mizuki and ends with the Wave Mission Arc. The game also takes a lot of liberty with the story to say the least and probably will upset people with some of the changes that were made.
Combat is rather quick, but intense in this game. But, sadly the combat in this game is about as shallow as a kiddie pool. The combat is largely focused around the A button, B button, and triggers. These simple controls do open up for a few combo attacks, but you can get through the game with just using the most basic of attack combos relentlessly. The amount of button mashing you'll do leave you bored with the game after an hour or so.
Probably the second biggest problem with the game is the lack of character options. There are only 10 characters in total in this game with 3 of them needing to be unlocked. And two of the unlockable characters are simply variations of characters that you start with.
Graphically speaking the game is pretty solid with the characters having a traditional cell-shaded look. The environments for the various arenas stand out and some of them having moving objects in the background.
The game features a lot of traditional tracks from the show, but many of them are rather low-key and don't pop out at you.
The game does feature a few unlockable characters, ninja files, and character portraits. So, there are some things you can work towards after beating the short story mode if you enjoy the game.
