The Best HM Game to Date
This and FoMT got me hooked. I wanted this particular game first when it came out, but I could only find FoMT when I went back to stores to buy it. But it's not about FoMT right now, it's about AWL. This game literally made my childhood. I loved every character, I loved the stories and cutscenes, I loved the town (though it's small) because it had so much life in it. Now I feel like HM tries to compensate for really stereotypical and boring characters by making the land huge and trying to put a lot of activities around. This town literally came together. You loved each and every character. The music was beautiful, your life was amazing, your family was really a family. This game may be long and tedious to some, but it's a story; that's why I loved it so much. I eagerly waited for the next chapter to see what would change. THIS IS THE ONLY GAME IN WHICH YOU AGE. It's about your life! All the other HM games don't end, they go on forever and ever. You never get old, your child stays a kid at the oldest, and that's it! I find this was the most interactive game; you really form a bond with your animals with the cuddle option. Although I did find that your horse will eventually become grumpy and stay that way forever. Nonetheless, it's a fantastic game and I recommend it to everyone who has the patience to watch a wonderful story unfold.

Gets boring fast
I finally beat this game after having it since 2004! When I first got this, I was obsessed and thought it was so fun, after I got married though, it went downhill and got really boring. To beat the game, I had to sleep through a majority of the game. It is really long and you run out of things to do. The town is REALLY small, so there isn't much to see. The only interesting parts were watching your son grow up. This game is painfully boring. I also think it is way too long, if it had been shorter, I think it would be less boring since you wouldn't run out of things to do.

Not the Harvest Moon you might expect
I am a huge fan of harvest moon, so I was pretty excited when I got this game. I'm sorry to say that, while the game is fun, it only held my interest for a couple of hours. The time goes by much slower than other games in the series, and there is much less to do. I guess you could say that the hi-light of this game is that you can make your own little shop behind a cardboard box. Not to say that this is a terrible game, but the DS one is far better.

Live The Experience
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life brings the same concept of the game series to Gamecube like Harvest Moon: Magical Melody did. The difference? A Wondeful Life really brings even more challenges to the series. The graphics are extermely impressive for Gamecube and the sounds mimic what you would expect to hear if you were the character. Seasons are shorter, life is harder, and food is hard to come by at the begginning. This game will let you live the experience for a small price of $9.99. Stratagies the best ways to earn money and make your life easier. Great for casual gamers looking for a cheap game.

Make your Own Wonderful Dreams of Life and Live
It's been quite a while since the game's release, but if you've been looking for some timeless games to add to your Gamecube library, look no further.
This classic piece may not be of a mainstream series, but can easily reach out past its casual following. You find a girl, make a family, farm a farm, ranch a ranch and eventually watch the town grow around you. You will be immersed in the world of Harvest Moon's Forget-Me-Not Valley as if it were your own neighborhood.
Of the series, this is considered by fans to some of the darkest themes and plot-twists. You will become emotionally attached to your animals that your care for daily and your family that you raise. You watch your son grow to be what you have influenced them to be as they grow from toddler to child to teen to adult.
This game will introduce you to your life as soon as you pick up the controller.
*You play as a boy and marry girls in this version. Get "Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life" to play as a girl.

Excellent farming simulation!!!
I meant to write magical melody just to let you know, but anyways this was truely an exceptional game. the graphics are the best in the series to date. The weather effects are the most realistic, unlike the other games the weather could change throughout the course of one day. The sky graphics are among the best on the gamecube. Also instead of just opening the menu to see how much each girl likes you it is really fun to find and check on their diary. Also instead of the game just stopping after your baby turns into a toddler like the other games this one you get to see your kid grow up and choose a profession. there are also many different species of cows unlike just one species, also you can have bulls instead of always having to buy miracle potion. now for the bad features. one bad feature is that there are only three girls to marry and two of them are too easy to win over. Also once you start to make money you quickly run out of things to buy. And crops dont fetch a high price unless you have a seed mixer and even then it is pretty worthless. also barn space is limited, you cant fit every kind of cow or bull in one barn at once if you have every kind of animal. there are also some features you should be aware of, not necesarily bad but the harvest spirits and the harvest godess are not very involved in the game and the storyline is pretty long, 30 years. other than a few minor problems this game is a truely excellent game that I recomend to anyone.

Fun relaxing game to pass the time away.
This games storyline isn't the most interesting one but it's really fun to raise your kid and see what they become. It's also interesting to see other characters and yourself age into old people. The graphics are probably the best out of all the Harvest Moon games. It's just very relaxing if you want a break from those hardcore games like Call of Duty or Halo.
