Decent racing, nice crashes
Do you like recklessly speeding through traffic and barely avoiding other vehicles? If so, then this is the game for you! Burnout is a series known for it's high-speed racing and brutal crashes. The racing itself is pretty fun. Barely avoiding 18-wheelers, traveling on the wrong side of the road, drifting around sharp turns, that's what you do in Burnout. You do these things to fill up your boost meter. Once filled up, take off! The crashes are great! Once you've finished a race, you can go back and see all of your crashes (with some tools to get a different angle on your crashes or view them at a different speed). You can also save your crashes to your memory card! Now the car selection in this game is very small. The track selection isn't very big either. The framerate might drop a little bit when you're around a lot of cars. The graphics on this game are outstanding for a Gamecube game! Overall, this game was the beginning of a great series.
This game reminds me of crazy taxi without all the hard missions. The racing is intense for its time and the crashes are great. Car selection is minimal but what can you say, its the first game. Track selection can be annoying especialy when you have to race the same thing in reverse. Overall though this will always be my favorite game and game series.
Could have done better
I got this game a while back. All it consists of is racing in traffic. The crashes are ok, but its straight racing. True this is the first burnout in the series, but they could have added a little something else like more cars or be the cop. Final thought: the first in a series can always be a lot better.
It was decent
This game wasn't half bad, but There are not much cars too choose from. The races are fun but they are also really long and very hard, same thing with the face offs. It can be really fun to weave in and out of traffic without trying to crash. overall a good racing game that you should check out.
this game is not fun because your car moves to slow, the tracks are way to long, and you have to cross checkpoints to keep racing. the other burnout games are really good (I don't know about 2 though) but don't get this
