Beyond Good and Evil
Best game ever
This is such a great game! I'm so disappointed that they haven't made another one. It's my absolute favorite! It had a marvelous storyline, funny characters, and exciting game play. I would most definitely suggest this to everyone. If you buy it, you won't be sorry.

True diamond in the rough
This is a vastly underrated game. Anyone who is a fan of action/adventure, specifically the Zelda or Metroid Prime series should check this game out. An excellent storyline and great game-play highlight this title, along with original characters, fantastic graphics and sound. The storyline is what I love about this title. The originality at play here is exactly the model all game developers/publishers should strive for. Beyond Good & Evil has a style that I have not seen before or since its release, and that is my favorite part about the game. That is saying a lot since the game was released six years ago. The basic story follows your character Jade, who is a reporter, as she and her companions try to unravel the mystery surrounding the aliens invading their plant, Hillys. It may sound simple enough, but as the game progresses there are great plot twists and the characters remain engaging enough that you can't help but to continue through to the end. That is all I am going to say about the story, as you really need to play it yourself to see just how great and original this whole package is. The graphics and sound are absolutely great, and rival many new titles available for the Wii today. The water, lighting, and animations keep you fully immersed in the action. No complaints with the sights and sounds here. The controls and game-play are simple, yet when combined with the overall presentation are simply fantastic. A major part of the game is Jade's ability to take pictures, and the camera controls are superb without being overly complex. There are various environmental puzzles that you must solve in order to proceed through the game, and the controls work great here too. The puzzles also do not feel rushed like they were just inserted into the game for substance - they always feel like a part of the story and are not frustratingly complex. The only minor drawbacks are the length of the game, and the lack of difficulty in a few areas. The length of the game runs a little short, as you find yourself wishing you could spend more time with the characters on Hillys. The lack of difficulty is only in a few spots early on, and does not take away from the overall experience of the game. In summary, this game is a must-play. Do not let its age fool you. This is a true classic that should have received more praise than it has, and definitely deserves a sequel in its future. If you are a fan of the true action/adventure game, it does not get more original or enjoyable than Beyond Good & Evil.
