Product Details:

Step into the shadows of Gotham City's perilous criminal underworld as DC Comics' legendary Dark Knight in the Batman Begins video game. Slated for release day and date with the Warner Bros. Pictures film, Batman Begins challenges players to use fear as their ultimate weapon.

The game explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. Gamers will play as both Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego, Batman, hunting evil-doers from the shadows, using strength, intellect and an array of high tech gadgets to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city, including classic villains Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul and Carmine Falcone.

Turning traditional stealth-based gameplay on its ear - by allowing gamers to play the hunter, rather than the hunted - Batman Begins delivers the Batman universe as never before. Stalking criminals from the shadows, gamers will discover new ways to paralyze thugs with fear before engaging in hand-to-hand combat, or interrogating them.

From the halls of Arkham Asylum and the alleys of Gotham City to an ancient monastery high in the Himalayas, Batman Begins the video game delivers a thrilling interactive companion to Christopher Nolan's reinvention of the Dark Knight in Batman Begins.

* Fear is Your Weapon: Stalk and terrorize enemies, or strike from above to pick off prey one by one. Use the environment to turn enemies against each other and defeat them before ever joining the fight. Take out an enemy with an attack from above and watch the fear level of his fellow thugs increase.

* Interactive Environments: Gamers must use their environment, from scaling buildings and soaring between rooftops, to triggering explosions and unleashing the insane inmates of Arkham Asylum against their enemies, to bring justice to Gotham.

* Cinematic Combat: Mixed martial arts combat and devastating finishing moves developed exclusively for Batman Begins are faithfully recreated in the game with the assistance of the film's stunt coordinator.

* The Bat Utility Belt: Delve deep into the ultimate arsenal of high-tech crime fighting gadgets, including the Batgrapple, Batarang, Optic Cables and Lock Picks.

* Experience Gotham City: Batman Begins brings gamers into the Batman universe, allowing them to experience the origins of the Dark Knight as both Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego Batman - from the storied halls of Wayne Manor to the twisted halls of Arkham Asylum.

* The Batmobile: Tear up the streets and rooftops of Gotham in the Batmobile. Fight crime in multiple levels of lightning-fast, no-holds barred vehicular combat.

* Epic Storytelling: Featuring a game script by JT Petty, the acclaimed writer of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Batman Begins allows players to delve even deeper into the universe masterfully depicted in Christopher Nolan's film.

* All-Star Cast: The game features the voice and likeness of Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Michael Caine (Alfred Pennyworth), Liam Neeson (Henri Ducard), Katie Holmes (Rachel Dawes), Cillian Murphy (Dr. Jonathan Crane), Tom Wilkinson (Carmine Falcone) and Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), all reprising their roles from the film.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok Just before I start this: No. This is not like Batman Arkham City or Asylum. I'm not saying it's bad, but don't expect the "Arkham before Arkham" (Yes, it does have an Arkham area, but it's NOT Arkham City/Asylum.) Now that I set that record straight, Lets get on to the review. Gameplay: Basic- Sneak around, interact with objects to make the grunts terrified, Grunts fear= they get weaker. (Example, throw a batarang at a bell, goons become scared, goons get weaker from fear, pummel goons' skulls.) The fear mechanic is cool and I think it's unique compared to other Batman games. Oh yeah, some bat mobile missions, too. Bat mobile sections are fun, chaotic and HARD! Music: I can't say much... there are some tracks from the movie, but I think that's it. It's hard to comment about something that you don't remember much about. The music isn't very memorable, but maybe it's just me. Graphics: This actually looks impressive for a gamecube game. It's not pushing limits of the gamecube but it looks good. (I haven't played PS2 or Xbox version, so note that I'm talking about the gamecube version.) Difficulty: Oh jeez... This game Is HARD. The first few stages aren't that hard but the later stages are difficult. Maybe I just suck but...if you aren't good at video games don't buy this. The hardest stages for me, are the bat mobile stages. They are fun, but like I said: They. Are. HARD. Lasting appeal: This game is fun but short. I would recommend this to big Batman fans that want to kill 10 bucks, but if not, just ignore it. It's still a fun game, though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Batman is ALWAYS a good idea. Batman Begins, though based loosely off of a movie, is an action packed game from beginning to end. It isn't Arkham Asylum or Arkham City, but this game is still a great play. It's probably the first Batman video game where you use stealth and scare tactics to make your way through levels and to defeat your enemies. That's what Batman is all about. Overall, this is a really great game, and if you have a Gamecube or a Wii, pick it up because it's a steal at this price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Greatest Action Game of All Time I have been playing this game since it came out back in 2005 and it is the best action/adventure game out there for any console. It has an amazing storyline and its not like Arkham Asylum where it is like a horror movie that is crazy. This is a classic batman without all of the garbage. Every mission is fun-filled, plus there's weapons!!! I have played it over the years with my brother and it has created many memories. This game is the best action game of all time in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game!!! This is the best Batman game that I have played so far. What makes this game good is that, unlike most movie based superheros games, it sticks very close to the storyline. It does not have five different villians you have to fight in order before you get to the boss. It has the same amount of villians in this game as there was in the movie. The video game also captures how batman acts in the movie. All in all, very well done game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Batman game for all! Next to Arkham Asylum this is the best Batman game. Even though it is based off the movie it doesnt follow it exactly. The game allows you to go deeper into the story and do missions that actually make sense to the story. The fighting is great, the animation is awsome, the levels are dark and cool. Overall this is a great game to buy. It is a game for young adults and up. Even though it is Batman they do touch on the darker side of the Dark Knight.
