So yea I got this game for Christmas a while back in like 2002 and let me tell you it was a semi bad present. First let me talk about the positive, before I get into the deep negative. One positive is the card system in which you can unlock a variety of extra teams, jerseys, legends, and stadiums. Another positive would be the Expansion Mode. In this mode you have to choose from some ctites and start an expansion team to try and win a World Series, however it was not used to it full extent. Now for the negatives. The Expansion mode is more on the disspaointing side after playing 3 seasons. The signing system is a bit flawed as instead of money you sign with points which really isn't that well worked out. Also your season is pretty much random and you can have your same team win 100 games and then restart with the same team and only win 57. One negative also is the music. THERE IS ONLY ONE SONG! Another negative is the commentary they are very deep with stats, however they get very repetitive after a while and you just want to turn it off. The biggest negative is the gameplay. For instance you could be 15 feet from the ball, but miraculously the ball magnetizes to the player. The baserunning system is flawed as you won't even tell your player to run during a pop fly, but they'll already be 3/4 of the way to third when the opposing team catches it. Also it is VERY easy to score. I remember first playing with my brother the game ended 36-18. Overall only give this game to a person you don't like.
