Nostalagic, but a bit weak on sound and visuals
=========
Story
=========
The story is the storyline of the Pokemon anime. Though, I do have one issue with the story in that the cartridge goes from episode 1 to then jump to episode 12. This is a rather large leap in the episode number and can be whiplash inducing if you aren't aware of the fact that the episodes aren't in order.
=========
Gameplay
=========
Gameplay wise this cartridge doesn't have much to offer. This isn't a game, but a movie after all, but the controls do work and appear to be responsive. So, you can fast-forward, rewind, skip ahead, skip back, or pause the video easily enough.
=========
Sound
=========
This is one of the areas where the cartridge suffers. On my cartridge at least there is a constant background noise that isn't from the episodes themselves.
=========
Graphics
=========
The movies are also a bit weak visually as well. This is probably to be expected since your condensing 45 minutes worth of video onto a tiny GBA screen for a show that was meant to be shown on television.
=========
Lasting Appeal
=========
There isn't any lasting appeal to be had to be honest. The only appeal this cartridge can make is one of nostalgia. These are some of the earlier episodes of Pokemon and you can have a laugh at them. You can also catch inconsistencies within the show. Like seeing one of the trainers throw out a green pokeball.

different
one reason i love this is because it is one of the original episodes from the beginning of the story it started all of the new games. it reminds me of how everything started 2D to 3D games its amazing how far stuff has come. my friend ryan would agree with me because this episode is a classic and i actually remember seeing this for the first time; awesome.
